"Arrived an hour early from the previous nights hotel we stayed in hoping they might let us in like the other hotel did. Got told to come back at 3-ish and door was then locked behind us. Had to walk around in the cold passing time till we could get in, and get ready for the event we were attending. Was hoping to sit and have a drink in the bar but wasn't even open and hadn't been for awhile which you could see from the Xmas decorations still on display in the windows. Got parked up around the back and was wondering where the heck we were stopping, was a pile of dirty stained mattresses in front of our car in the car park. When we eventually checked in for told we had to pay £10 for parking which seemed a bit steep, when it's obvious people are going to be arriving in a car. The owner carried our bags upstairs but absolutely stunk of BO. Surprisingly our room was basic but really clean and the shower was really warm and clean. Got what you paid for really and I've stopped in worse in Blackpool, was pleased to have our own toilet. We had no towels left out but the owner soon brought some fresh clean ones out of a packet which were really soft. We had to go down and ask for tea bags as we only had coffee, and then we had to go down again and ask for milk. Was no trouble for the owner but this maybe should have been checked first. "

"Only down side was the pool table not been straight so wasn't able to play a proper game as balls just roll to one side. "

"Lovely stay away from the north shore. Absolutely loved my stay here. Staff professional and rooms absolutely clean. No faults at all. Will definitely stay here again."

"Me and my daughter stayed for 2 nights. We love the Village. Swimming pool is great. Better to go in the early session with kids as it gets very busy later on. Loved our room over looking the golf course. Clean and tidy. If swimming isn’t included in your room it’s only £5 per room which isn’t bad and they give you towels. Coffee shop is great. Staff are friendly. "
