The night clerk was willing to accept the price for the room as it was on Expedia, however the price was $80. The night clerk explained he was not making money from a $38 rate. The room was nice and cleaned but the area outside could be cleaned up since a section of the hotel is for weekly rentals.

A little $ invested would take them a long way

The rate was Great, I wasn't expecting much because of that... But room was clean but the room had a mildew water smell, probably from outdated carpet, the beds were hard as a rock and they could give you a working ice machine outside and a candle if the smell is that loud, new blankets due

A little repair needed

Partially because of the hurricane a few weeks ago there were a few issues. No ice... no television...sheets were stained. And $100 for the room because of limited availability... Would stay here again if the issues were resolved.

You can tell this properties best days are behind them. Yes, there was a recent hurricane so there was some debris and damage, but the rooms are very out dated. My door barely locked. I was honestly afraid someone could actually bust in easily. Not a good feeling. Fortunately it was not a bad area so I wasn’t concerned for my safety. Lightning was good by the rooms.

Staff member was asleep on the couch in lobby upon arrival. Then proceded to argue with me about the price I paid. Telling me that the rooms cost $80 a night and there was no way that I paid the amount that I claimed. After repeatedly being called a liar he wanted to charge my card for the night that I had already booked and paid for. Then when the next shift came on they came to my room and did the exact same thing as the proir shift.

Staff very unprofessional as they didn’t know we were booked in their hotel when we arrived. This was my first impression of the place and it just went downhill from there. The front desk area was totally disorganized. The lobby was dusty and disshelveled. The rooms were worn, the beds were hard, and the furniture was cobbled together (for example, the bathroom light didn’t work so a lamp was there with the cord from the lamp in the way of everything). But the people that hang out in the place are not very family friendly. We felt very unsafe the whole night.

Filthy room with Concrete slab for beds

The beds were like sleeping on a concrete slab. The room was filthy! There were spots all over the walls, the bathroom floor was dirty, the sheets were stained (we hope they were stains), the carpet felt like it had a layer of wax over it. We stayed because it was so late by the time we arrived that we really just wanted to try and sleep. I went to check out and get a refund at 7am the next morning and the front desk clerk was a sleep in the chair, no big deal. It took quite a bit of convincing to get him to wake up and get my refund. I will never stay here and would not recommend it to anyone.

The floor had dirt, q-tips, chips and various other filth under the beds and in corners and along the baseboards. The smoke detector was missing. There was an undersized, two prong extension cord to power the refrigerator, microwave and a lamp. The ground prong on the refrigerator and microwave cords had been removed so they could be plugged into the improper extension cord. The weatherstripping at the entry door was missing and there was a 1 inch gap at the bottom. The towels and sheets were well worn yellowed and stained. The refrigerator was filthy and the microwave had not been cleaned.

Would not recommend!

To prelude our stay, we called with a handful of questions about our reservation and the hotel itself and while on our call, the owner got frustrated with us asking too many things and said she had actual customers to help (as if we weren’t?) and hung up on us. The stay itself was revolting. We arrived to dirty, unwashed bedding, a blood-covered shower curtain, unplugged fridge (so we couldn’t even use it until the second day of our stay), a number of roaches, food-matted & sticky carpets, a tv that barley turned on (premium channels are included with your stay), along with country other issues. After ending our stay, my husband went to turn in our keys and tell her about the issues we encountered. Forgetting to tell the owner about the problems when he returned the keys (she already had an attitude the first time), my husband went back up to the office. As he was walking up to the door, she ran up to the entrance and slammed and locked the door in his face.

Adequate Nap Opportunity

Room was facing the nearby highway. Even with the fan on the trucks were very loud which may reflect on the quality of the construction as well as proximity to the highway. People were nice.

Watch out for the surcharge

Dead cockroach on bathroom floor in the morning.Charged a made up fee (entitled "surcharge") not quoted as what total charge would be on Hotels.com. Hasn't been upgraded inquite a few years. Don't usually leave bad reviews but I don't like people adding things to my bill not quoted or roaches in my room
