The property was in an excellent location. Close to many restaurants and the river walk. Really enjoyed walking downtown. The room was nice. We like having a kitchenette. It could have been a little quieter. Could hear the upstairs shower and water running. But over all like this place to stay.

Adorable hotel and so convenient to all of the restaurants, shops, and bars! We stayed in the Stableman's Quarters, which was right next to the amenities station and water. It is the furthest from the entrance, but closest to the terrace. Loved the decor and informative signs.

Incredible boutique hotel! We will be using The chandler as our go to hotel. Incredible furnishings, amenities, and don’t forget to check out their wine and bowling bar. Gorgeous design and love all of their wines plus liquor! Very quaint hotel and town!

We had a great stay here because of the beautifully restored building, our spacious and comfortable room, and the perfect location - not directly on Main Street but just a block away, making it both quiet and convenient. Be aware that there are no staff on site - access to the building and your room are via numeric code sent to you ahead of your stay. This was a new experience for us but it worked just fine. There's also no restaurant or bar on the premises, but step outside and you'll have many choices just steps away. We would definitely stay here again on a return visit to Madison.

The Chandler Hotel is amazing—absolutely what we expected based on the photos. The room was super clean & cozy with lots of extras! If you are considering this spot, book it! The location is PERFECT with lots of shopping & dining all around. The host was super responsive. I just can’t say enough about THE CHANDLER! The “best spot” in Madison Indiana!

The hotel and room were clean, the key code worked perfectly, parking was a breeze, and there's a Dollar General right across the street (in case you've forgotten anything). But....the room stays pretty dark (dark walls and poor lighting). The floor is very uneven, making it feel like you're a little drunk when you walk on it. There's a microwave down the hall, but having one in the room would be a LOT more convenient. But, in our opinion, the biggest issue is the slippery bathroom (and shower) floor. A big mat in the shower would help, and textured floor tile would've been great for the rest of the bathroom. Just be prepared to throw down a few towels on the floor after you shower. But, if you're looking to stay in downtown Madison, with an easy walk to the unique shops on Main Street, some bars and restaurants, and the river walk, this room's location is perfect.
