"The mark of a hotel is how they deal with a problem. I needed to change rooms at 1am. The staff were great and sorted another room very quickly and cheerfully. Namib and his colleague were excellent. Minor niggle was room service, no answer on the phone but Reception took the order. There is a £5 surcharge after 11pm. A fair charge but should be stated on the menu. Look forward to staying here again."

"Lovely one night stay at the Great Danes Hotel. Room very comfortable and lovely breakfast. Staff were excellent, all very helpful. Conditon of hotel looked slightly worn, but good place to stay overall."
