Great property within walking distance of the best of Mainz and good parking area. Place was nice and perfect for a small family to stay for a few days.

Frau Bruehle was very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Excellent breakfast and helpful and efficient staff. Elevator/lifts were quiet and quick. Location in the Altstadt is good with easy main-road access and many restaurants within easy walking distance, as is the river.

I've stayed here multiple times and recommend it. The location is outstanding for airport access (at least on weekdays breakfast begins at 6:45, which is nice for early flights), and the (nice) city itself is not far away. The hotel has all the virtues of good German train station-area hotels (clean, efficient, pleasant staff). In addition it has good WiFi and breakfast included in a reasonable room rate, which is not a given. (There are also terminals in the lobby, which I didn't use.)...

Room was not cleaned on day 2. No information on the timing of room cleanup. Wasn’t a big deal though.

The hotel was located in a great location for attending the Christmas market. The room itself was spacious and very clean and stay overall with excellent.

Great experience our whole stay. The staff was friendly at check-in, the room was perfect and quiet, breakfast was delicious with a good variety for everyone. We had plenty to eat. Check out was simple.

We stayed for two nights. The room was spacious. It was about 150-meter walk to the main train station. We walked from the hotel to the historic section of town.

Whenever I go back home to Mainz, I stay at the Ibis. My family has long since moved away, but at the Ibis Hotel, I am home and centrally located where I can meet up with friends and frequent my favorite establishments. The staff is always top notch helpful. The room is always clean and meets my expectations fully. If you need a great location, a basic and clean room, the Ibis Hotel will meet your needs.

This property has it all. It was a pleasure to stay. If you’re not from a big city, the sound of the local transportation, trams, buses and sirens can be noisy but I’m used to this so it wasn’t a bother.

Nice hotel One major issue. Construction work everywhere! Water is off during the day. Wish they would have said something before going to the bathroom! Also, no onsite parking. None. Down the street you can go to a parking garage.

If you want a luxury resort, this isn't your place. If you want a safe, quiet, clean, and above all convenient place to sleep, this is it. Just steps away from the train station, beautiful central Mainz is very walkable from here. It's a small place with personal service. If I ever get a chance to go back, I'll certainly stay there again. Mainz is beautiful, by the way.

The hotel is close to the busy Mainz train station and the neighborhood can be somewhat gritty. As a single woman traveling alone I felt somewhat uncomfortable that when I checked in on Sunday I needed to use the lockbox and enter into an empty reception area. We were also in another heatwave and the rooms are not air-conditioned. These are the only 2 negatives. The room was lovely and recently updated. We were quick in and out and really just needed comfortable beds, a cool room, showers and breakfast. All of these were wonderful. It’s in a cute neighborhood close to the river promenade/bikepath. Great dining within walking distance. Excellent beds, room temp, and stylish amenities. Loved the design. It being Mainz, birthplace of printing press the hotel decor references that in multiple subtle and stylish ways. Very cool hotel.
