"My husband and I stayed at this lakeside retreat in early May. Our son in law's family have a cottage down the road. While we spent most of our day in the other cottage, we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Lakeside retreat. It is very well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed working on a few puzzles and listening to music on the Google Home Sound system. We hope to come again one day with our granddaughters and swim in the Medway river and Ponhook lake."

"This place is fabulous!! Located right on the river, charming and wonderful owners! I was running late and called to say that I couldn't make it inside check in hours. Cathie, one of the owners was super friendly and was waiting for me when I arrived. I stayed in a dome which was beautifully decorated with lovely furniture and drapes,and outfitted with everything I needed – a mini fridge, a microwave, coffee maker, dishes. A nice touch was a soft electric blanket on top of a very comfortable bed. I will definitely recommend this place and come back again! "

"Visiting family and friends in Nova Scotia, for more than a month and while I truly enjoy their company, I needed a short 'me time'. This was perfect for a 2 day get away and I could have stayed longer, but was expected in the Annapolis Valley. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen; knowing the type of coffee maker ahead of time would have helped me choose my 'grind' better. Cosy living area with a view of the lake. Extremely quiet while I was there. Owners close by to respond to my questions. Would I return: yes!"
