"An exceptional place to stay for a Hawaii vacation. The Red Ohana.I had the pleasure of a week’s stay here, a place that gives tremendous thought to making a great vacation experience. When I’ve rented other vacation houses, I’ve often felt that I was trespassing in someone else’s living room. Not so at the Red Ohana. The whole vibe is welcoming. The decor is charming. The layout is comfortable. Everything is well-thought-out and well-supplied. The kitchen, the bathroom, the bedrooms, the laundry, the housekeeping, the porch chairs, the beach supplies — all needs anticipated and ready to go. The landscaping is private, soothing and beautiful.This was the ideal place for a family reunion. My family of four had the two-bedroom house; the extended family had the larger house about twelve steps away. It was easy to share meals, make group plans, and relax. When we needed a break from togetherness, we had privacy at hand in separate houses.Like I said, exceptional."

"This is truly a once in a lifetime place. It was so much better than pictures could ever convey. We stayed two nights and it was some of the best sleep we've had... Not only was the king bed comfortable, it was so peaceful with the grass swaying, the trees rustling, the wind breathing... We sat for hours on the lanai just gazing at Maui that was right in front of us.Every single attention to detail made it special. The lamp fixtures, the doors, the fireplace, the stove, the furniture, the instruments... It felt like stepping back in time. My partner is a carpenter so he also appreciated the timber framing, there are no nails! Only wooden pegs. That hammock had an orchid growing on the tree. The coffee beans were delicious, the fire was always provided with keawe logs every night. Fantastic host, friendly animals, we are definitely going to have to come back. "
"This property had the best view on the whole island! It was almost too good to be true. This is your sign to stop searching, and just book this place! You do need a jeep or truck with big tires to get to the property and you have to drive very slow for the last few minutes of the journey, but it’s totally worth it. All of the plants and flowers and fruit trees were so beautiful! The rooms are a little outdated, but still very accommodating. Everything that we needed was there. Camile and her husband live downstairs and also manage the property so are there if you need anything. They are wonderful people. We truly enjoyed talking with them everyday and appreciate the fresh fruit that she brought us. Hope we get the opportunity to return one day! "

"Absolutely spectacular residence on Puako Beach. The photos and descriptions just don’t do this place justice. From the owner (Gail) to the concierge (Niki), communication couldn’t have been better. Mind as well have been a Four Seasons. The house is immaculate and is so well equipped we rarely wanted to leave. We traveled with multi generations (grandparents / parents / younger children) and all found things we love. The patio (lanai) should be in a magazine, with views that are incredible. The pool was a huge hit - kids and parents swam daily and lounged in the afternoons. The place is quiet, peaceful and private - perfect for a relaxing vacation. We would rebook this place in a heartbeat. Mahalo, Gail and Niki! Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with our family. "

"Absolutely amazing house, property, set-up, location. This property is the best! The pool, jacuzzi, layout of all the bedrooms, the fully stocked kitchen, Sonos, beach chairs, umbrellas, pool toys were a bonus. King beds in the rooms was also a huge plus. Can’t say enough about this property except you’re also on the best beach in Hawaii. Book it if it’s available. Also Peter is an amazing and quick communicator. Thanks for the best stay!"
