Very friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, fantastic location and a beautiful building. Only thing was our room smelled a little damp. Otherwise a lovely place to stay!

The hotel is a converted "shop house" (actually a mansion) filled with period furniture and artifacts. I had expected a "simple" breakfast but the choice was good. Room a bit spartan and there is no lift except to the most expensive rooms. So if you are not good on stairs or have heavy luggage, ask for a ground floor room.

It's a wow effect once you enter the front door. Be aware that you need to climb stairs despite an avail lift, because there are many split levels here and there. (also including climbing in and out of bath tubs)

enforce covid ppl to stay w/o worrying other guest

got covid daytime of the check in date. To protect other guests living in the hotel, I tried not to go to the hotel so that covid wouldn't be spread in the hotel. But the hotel rejected to refund my booking - it looks the hotel cares more to get more check in rates, rather than risking existing guests to get covid. So everyone should be super careful about health by staying in the hotel.

dishonest store

Dishonest hotel - it's our fault for accidentally leaving money (in red packet for CNY) in the room, but it is really disappointing that the staff denied everything without further investigation. We are 100% sure that we left the red packet in the room, our Malaysian friend helped to call multiple times, however the reception claimed that they did not find anything in the room which is totally nonsense. Please consider twice if you wish to stay in the hotel with such dishonest behavior.

Nice hotel & great facade. Hotel's 1st floor decor was great. Staff & service level was great. Breakfast service & menu was good. However, lack of attention to detail. Floors were not well connected, there were many steps to navigate to get to our room. Room toilet was left running & unable to flush. A/C remote was difficult to use, there is no off button. Corridors were hot as these were open; worst when corridors windows were closed in the evening. Acoustics was bad with doors heard being closed & when people were walking through the corridors. Housekeeping had their radios on loud which worsen the noise level. We have breakfast in a side room; found the chairs & tables not clean; lots of dust. Overall a great hotel which is affected by attention to detail.

一泊で利用。歴史的建物を利用したホテルで、調度品も当時のものを飾り付け、落ち着いた雰囲気でとても満足。シングルベッド２個の部屋は、広くはない。シャワーのみ。バスタオルは有るが小さなタオルはない。しかし朝食は無料で付いており、料金はとてもリーズナブル。オランダ広場まで近く、近隣を散歩するにはとても良い場所にある。私達夫婦は、とても満足しており、おすすめしたい。

Jonker is round the corner

Price is on the high side SGD85/ night. Room is small, abt 15-17sqm. Can get cheaper ones in town near the shopping malls. However, nonya deco is a plus point & Jonker is round the corner.

Die Lage in Malakka ist super, das Hotel ist sehr schön, das Frühstück super. Die einfachen Zimmer im Dachgeschoss sind sehr klein, kaum eine Möglichkeit den Koffer zu öffnen. Die Zimmer riechen etwas muffig. Ich würde das Hotel wieder buchen, allerdings eine bessere Zimmer-Kategorie

Un bel hôtel bien typique et bien situé

En plein centre de Malaka, cet hôtel offre un choix de chambres de simples à luxueuses. Nous avions une simple, pas très grande, mais largement suffisante. Les petits déjeuners sont bons. Le personnel est serviable. Le spa à proximité est réputé. En fait, c'est le cadre général, dans son jus historique, qui est très typique et rend cet hôtel original.
