"Flume's End is hands down the most wonderful place we have stayed. Very eclectic, warm, inviting, fun, comfortable, clean and safe. We will make a trip to Nevada City JUST to stay here. It was magical."
"We mainly used this property for sleeping as we were visiting family in the area. That said, the property is close to downtown Grass Valley and very reasonably priced."
"Weve stayed here 2 different times and love it. Its our go-to place when we stay in Nevada City.
They also have a beautiful waterfall and fern grotto on site. "

"The hotel was charming and full of character which was wanted. It didn’t dissappoint from a comfort level either. The bed and pillows were so comfortable we had amazing sleep. The location of this hotel is perfection. You never have to drive unless you want to check out the state parks. Restaurants and bars and shops are steps from the main entrance. "

The Most Romantic Creekside Cabin - with Hot Tub and Privacy
10/10 Excellent
"Staying at Tara was an amazing experience. Everything was exactly what we were looking for to get away for the weekend! The cabin was spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals including spices and condiments (except butter), the couch was so comfortable, there were extra blankets, towels, toilet paper and even a first aid kit. The privacy was amazing, it was like being in our own little world. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub (and skinny dip) and I took a relaxing bath in the generously sized tub both nights we stayed. The hike down to the creek from the deck in back was steep but worth it, to a small pond where we came across two wild minks (yes they were minks, the area is at the fringe of there geographic range)! But we spent the majority our time at a swimming hole called “the baths” which was a much easier hike to an amazing rock formation the creek ran through, the picture doesn’t do it justice. Believe me, this place is highly rated for a reason and you will not be disappointed!"

"Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant, comfortable stay. The bed was heavenly, and the hotel is shockingly quiet for being so close to the highway. Nicely stocked breakfast selection. We had an issue with our toilet, and it was resolved very quickly and satisfactorily. Excellent value overall."
Charming tinyhome near the wild and scenic Yuba river!
8/10 Good
"Great place to crash if you're visiting the river, 10 minutes from Oregon Creek Park, which is an awesome spot to hit with kids. Pretty sparse surroundings and it's deep in the woods, so it's remote and private. Space itself is set up for 2 people, if you bring more people (wouldn't recommend more than 2 adults, 2 kids) you should bring an air mattress and your own bedding. It is a no frills space, so if there are items you consider essential to your world, bring them with you. It does have a powerful air conditioner which we were grateful for at the end of August. We'll be back, proximity to the river and the price can't be beat. Now that we know it's pretty rustic we will pack more essentials and be extra cozy there. "
"Charming cabin with lots of beautiful architectural details. Obvious that while it may have some history it is well loved. Beautiful spot on the creek which makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere despite the fact that restaurants & shops are a quick easy walk from the cabin. Very much looking forward to staying here again sometime. Two quick notes regarding food in the area, The Willo Steak house is absolutely worth the 5-10 minute drive. Best restaurant steak I have had in years. On the other hand, The Communal Cafe... only go there if you have lots of time. Like at least an hour. We had to walk away without getting our scrambled eggs after waiting 40 minutes. Back to the positive.. The cabin is gorgeous, the bed is comfy, and the shower has great hot water with enough pressure to actually wash my hair. Overall this place is great! "
