In 1853, gold was discovered at Maldon and within a few years there were 20,000 miners and 70 pubs in the town. One of these was 'The Eaglehawk Hotel'. A fire destroyed the timber hotel in the late 1800's and a new hotel was rebuilt in Edwardian splendour in 1906.

Today, this historic hotel can be yours.

The hotel is fully self catering and BYO and retains all the features from the Goldrush days. The Public Bar, Dining Hall and Ladies Lounge are all available for your exclusive use. The hotel sleeps up to 16 with flexible bedding configuration between King and Single beds.

The hotel is the perfect venue for your next Self Cater and BYO function whether it be a Wedding, Party, Conference, Retreat, Birthday, Seminar or Family or Group holiday.

The Eaglehawk - Maldon features:
- 90 minute drive from Melbourne
- Accommodation for up to 16 people. All linen and towelling is provided.

- Original 1900's public bar. A fully functioning bar.
- 'Ladies bar' featuring 2 open fires. Perfect for relaxing or as a break-out room for conferences.

- Extensive gardens

The bedrooms are located in the original accommodation wing of the hotel. They all retain original features such as open fireplaces, pressed metal ceilings and ornate cornices.

Important Note: An additional charge applies for hosting events such as weddings, parties, conferences, reunions etc. An 'event' is defined as any gathering where people who are not registered guests sleeping at the hotel attend a gathering. Please contact us for a quote that includes the event fee. The event fee provides you with additional facilities that are otherwise not available. These include additional dining chairs, crockery, cutlery, glassware, serving ware, commercial dishwasher, coffee machine, additional refrigeration etc.
