"This is a great place to relax, but there is not a lot to do at the hotel or within walking distance. The plunge pools with villa are fantastic! Due to the tides in the area, you can only swim in the ocean at high tide, and the water has a lot of seaweed. The restaurant is amazing, we really enjoyed all of our meals and the staff were always friendly and helpful."

"Lovely setting - nice touch having flowers on the bed and turn down service. The units all look inwards to the pool which was used regularly by us. At night the pool has lights and makes for a romantic swim. There was no jug to make tea or coffee or facilities to cook yet there was a fry pan, pots and dishes. Even microwave would have been useful. The restaurant wan't operational - we would have used it. Breakfast was delivered to the room daily and was good."

"Driftwood is a really chilled hotel right on the beach. We had a lovely couple of nights to end our Kenyan trip. Take this place for what it is and you'll have a great time. The staff are so friendly and the food is really nice. Enjoyed it"

"The place was beautiful and quiet. But we had a problem with the reservation : the villa was already booked when we arrived. And the family inside the villa didn't want to leave...We should wait the day after to enter the villa at 5 pm so we lost time...and we had 2 bedrooms and 1 kitchen in compensation. The problem also was we didn't have clear explanations with the mananger...But we enjoyed our stay in this villa. Also we din't have internet during 1 day and wirefire works only near the...

"Reception was very rude. They claimed to have not received confirmation of our booking from hotels.com and pestered us for about 24-hours to repay with our credit card or KSH. We asked them to call hotels.com but they never did, so we finally had to do so ourselves with long distance calling rates, to rectify the situation."
