"This hotel was so lovely. I absolutely loved my stay. The hotel has some historic charm, which I loved. Even though it doesn't have an elevator, I made it through and would love to stay here again. The check-in process was very simple. The view from my window was gorgeous and worth every cent. My room was small, but had everything I needed. I also loved the terrace restaurant they have. It had an amazing view and the waitstaff was very kind. Mallaig is so peaceful and the hotel just added to it. "

"Very good choice at breakfast. Room very basic paper pealing of ceiling and too warm and stuffy with unpleasant view. A bit of a maze with floorboards on corridors slack and noisy and corridors very warm and stuffy. I can only comment on my room as I’m sure there will be much better quality of rooms than mine hopefully. I thought for the quality of my room and hotel in general it was not value for money and vastly overpriced. To say it was dated would be an understatement. Would not return. Sorry "

"We loved our stay at the Bracken Hide! The cottages/huts were modern facilities, yet so charming and comfortable. You do have to be able to walk up a hill to get to your cottage, but there is a porter who takes your bags up and down for you. We loved the restaurant. Our dinner there the first night was spectacular, probably the best salmon we've ever had and the breakfast was truly extraordinary in presentation and taste. The staff was so kind, generous and informative. They gave great suggestions and went out of their way to make sure we felt taken care of. We highly recommend staying at the Brecken Hide!"
