"Modern clean property in the heart of York. Rooms and bathrooms immaculate. Extensive breakfast options. Parking was a bit of a challenge made worse by roadworks and blocked off streets (not something the hotel acould do anything about) however overall a great place to stay, would book there again"

"It was a lovely place to stay for two nights. An easy walk to the Shambles and Minster. Our only issue was the Air conditioning shuts off in the middle of the night so we woke up both nights around 2:00 am warm and had to turn AC back on."

"The property, decoration, fittings, fixtures and furnishings are quite dated, don't expect a modern contemporary hotel. That said, the property is undergoing a programme of repair and refurbishment, it looks like a long job. The hotel was perfectly adequate for our short stay, we didn't have dinner but what we saw looked delicious, we can vouch the same for breakfast in which we did partake. Would we stop again, yes I think we would."

"On the one hand, this place needs a makeover. It's dated and needs some sprucing up. However, the place is super comfortable, the English breakfast is amazing, and the location is awesome. The staff was amazing, they helped us through a rough car rental issue. Great place to stay for one or two nights and get to know York."
