Disliked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
We originally booked at Light Residences, but the check-in experience was extremely frustrating. Upon arrival, the front desk asked for a guest authorization form, which we were never informed about. We were told to contact the host ourselves, and it took almost an hour just to get in touch with them. When we finally reached the host, they apparently had no idea about our booking. We had to communicate through Viber and provide proof that our reservation was confirmed through Expedia. We were then told the property was overbooked and that we would be transferred to Fame Residences. What should have been a 5-minute drive took around 20 minutes due to heavy traffic, making us late for an appointment. We hoped the check-in at Fame Residences would be smoother, but the entire process was already stressful and inconvenient. The checkout experience was even worse. The guard refused to return our personal IDs because of a supposed violation. We were told we had to pay a ₱500 fine for accidentally opening the wrong room door. It was a simple mistake with no intention of causing any issue. We understand that properties have rules, but withholding guests’ IDs and imposing a fine for an honest mistake feels completely unreasonable. From the confusing check-in and unexpected transfer to the delays and checkout issue, the entire experience was frustrating and disorganized. Definitely not the experience we expected from a confirmed Expedia booking.
