Wonderful stay at Barceló Marbella! Spacious rooms, excellent breakfast, and friendly staff. The pool area was perfect for relaxing, and the location is ideal for exploring the Costa del Sol. Would definitely come back!

Great facilities and very professional and pleasant staff. Pool area really tranquil and great for all ages. You need a car or taxi as it is remote from shops and Marbella town and the beach. Food options, specially in room dining could improve as healthy options were VERY limited. I wish I had known more about the spa! The Barceló app thing was easy to use but when I am on holiday I prefer to read things rather than looking at my phone!

Beautiful hotel, very classy, but central area under renovation while off-season. Incredible breakfast, covering all the bases. Easy parking at reasonable price. Decent bar -restaurant, useful since there is nothing else close by (the only problem with the place is that it is remote from tourist action, restaurants and stores). Very friendly people at front desk. Nice room, fairly spacious, clean, quiet, nice balcony. Would return, as long as not looking for walkable distance to activities. Courtyard must be beautiful in summer.

Spent a few days all inclusive at Barceló Marbella. We had a lovely time. Hotel was nice, food in restaurant was good and thankfully it wasn’t a rugby scrum to get the food! Branded spirits served at the bars. A nice pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. A great place to go to relax and enjoy the sun!

This hotel was just what i wanted. The staff are so friendly and the hotel is very clean. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. Food is good, there was always a wide choice at breakfast & lunch. It’s about a 20-25 mins walk to the nearest supermarket but taxi’s/bolts/Ubers are easy to get

Nice stay

Reception staff not friendly. Rooms were not clean hair in sink and Pringle crisp on floor with ants all over it. Bar staff were nice and friendly and food for breakfast was exceptional.

I liked the property. Room cleaning staff were good. Reception staff were quick at saying no but not providing alternative. Restaurant staff were very impatient and take your plates away if you move from the table. Rooms were not sound proof. Room next to mine had a call girl in at 3.00am and making lots of noise. My 2 nights were interrupted and I gave felt tired since then.

Limit Your Expectations. Great Staff Though.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, but the property is dated, and the air conditioning did not work during the two nights of our stay. We didn't explore the property. Our room was a very good size, so was the bathroom, but without functioning AC, it was hard to enjoy.

Resort is very nice and well worth the price. Pool area is beautiful (kids didn’t want to leave!) with plenty of sun lounges. Food served at the pool-area restaurant is a little below average (stick with the pizzas a burgers), but the food and drink are reasonably prices. Breakfast, however, is great. Delicious fresh juices, fruit, charcuterie, cheeses, eggs, bacon, etc., with seating indoors and outdoors. It’s about a 15-20 minute car ride to downtown Marbella (don’t try to drive and park. If you’re renting a car the parking garage will fit most vehicles without worry. Definitely a place to stay - if we come back to Marbella we will definitely consider returning to Barceló.

Nice property!

We had limited time at this beautiful resort so only have a nights stay to rate. Great breakfast for purchase but was great for us needing to leave early. We were given a handicap room which was wonderful - large space! The only downside was the shower. It is a huge area with odd setup - by the time I had showered and washed hair there was water all in the actual bathroom (there is no edge to accomade a wheelchair) and all the way out to front door and hallway. There has to be a better system. Based on the door sticking this was not the first time it has happened. Parking was easy for those traveling via car.

We have stayed at a Barcelo previously and expected the same type of property. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. I will highlight that the staff was exceptional and did their best. However, it was very apparent that the management has not put any money into this property based upon our room and the amenities. For example, my wife and I asked for a tissue box or tissues, and we were told to use toilet paper. I am not sure if the room was given to us because we booked through Expedia and that other rooms which seem to have been renovated were better. Bottom line was this hotel needs significant improvements to reach 3 star.

Disappointing stay

Disappointing stay at this property that seems to be in need of renovation and a better level of quality control. Breakfast was ok and had a nice selection. The lovely lady at the egg station was the most smiling and positive of all the staff members we met during our stay! The food trucks and pool area food service was closed. Calling roomservice did not work. The Suite was very clean, spacious and had a nice terrace with sun beds. The included minibar was a nice touch and there was a coffee machine. Both tv's worked but several channels was missing. Aircondition was not working the first day and after being fixed it still barely cooled down the room. Some dry euqalyptus flowers was left in the room and bathroom making it smell bad of rotting flowers. Iron was not clean and did not work properly. One lamp was missing the bulb. No bath salt or other amenities for the hot tub. The VIP pool area was a disaster. Dirty and worn down area and it seemed like the Management had forgotten that it existed... Nothing premium with this area at all. Music was played there at full volume ruining any chance of enjoying a relaxing time. Large group of guests partying and drinking at the main pool without anyone from the staff stopping them. I was not in the impression that this would be a party hotel and I wish the staff was empowered to stop that kind of behaviour to secure a nice experience for all guests. I will not return to this property.
