Hotel was elegant with extremely attentive, friendly, helpful staff. We felt very welcome. Room was spectacular with ocean view and balcony. Grounds were spacious and welcoming with palm trees and beautiful foliage. Huge indoor pool and huge outdoor pool plus its own beach. Plenty of room for everyone to swim, sunbathe, sit and relax with food and drink inside and out. Bar area inside and out was huge and they have entertainment every night. We booked a water view room and we’re not disappointed. Our balcony was huge with 2 loungers, table and 4 chairs and an incredible view of the beach and water. The room was clean and spacious enough with a kitchen, separate sitting area and bedroom. There was a 4 piece bathroom and although clean it was not luxurious but if you’d rather spend your time in the bathroom then the balcony or beach then this may not be your preferred choice. Clean friendly staff amazing atmosphere the staff were exceptional very friendly. The rooms were always clean. The place is amazing, the old town is one of spain's marbles and the port is just a 10 min walk close to the hotel are exceptional restaurants, the beach is very close as well. It's just a 10 euros taxi to puerto banos or to funky Buddha. Certainly going there again and again and again. Thank you la villa marbella team.

Quaint Hôtel, old refurbished building, reasonably priced. Ideal location, plenty of restaurants nearby, many attractions at walking distance, busy street but quiet at night

This is a wonderful place for a dream vacation. Unfortunately, we messed up our dinner choices for New Years and a few other nights. We didn’t realize that the Hotel had a sister property with more restaurants. We stayed at the better property but I wish that we had known about the sister property for New Years and more restaurant choices

Excellent hotel/resort on a beautiful property

I stayed at El Pilar last March and returned for one night because of the service, location and beautiful property. The front desk is always helpful and always wear a smile. The recognized I had been there in March, so check in was easy. The roof top bar is awesome as is a light breakfast downstairs.

This place is like its own little city. You really don't have to leave the resort if you don't want to. Every single dining option is top notch. The food and drinks are absolutely outstanding. Zero disappointments. The convenience of being able to walk back to your room a few meters after a day or night of drinking is top. You really cant ask for more.
