Great view, quiet and peaceful! The host was very welcoming and informative. They put lots of extra thoughtful extras in the medicine cabinet like dairy pills, first aid kits and allergy meds. We forgot some of those and didn’t need to get off the mountain to get them.
Hosts were amazing to work with! The house was super well stocked with everything we needed. Location was beautiful!! The drive is a little steep but once you drive it a up and down a few times its fine. Really enjoyed our stay!!
Dinah was very friendly. Communication was clear and helpful. The home was beautiful and had a great view. We attended a Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters conference, and this place was close.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The view is beautiful and we had a very relaxing weekend. The written directions to the cabin we received from the owner were wonderful and easy to follow. Would stay here again!
The cabin was super nice and comfy. The beds were great! Incredible water pressure, good ac, lots of support from the host for everything. We really loved it, felt like coming home. My only warning is that the roads to get there are pretty steep. If you’ve never driven a mountain road I’d encourage you to practice first haha. It is accessible via 2wd cars but 4X4 makes it a lot easier to get there.
Wonderful home in a beautiful location. A perfect place to relax and forget about “stuff”. Road up to cabin will keep you on your toes, but overall safe. Great trip
Dinah is THE most thoughtful host I could ever imagine. Communication with her was exemplary, prompt, clear. She provided detailed instructions and information online, through messages and on printouts at the cabin. The cabin was family-friendly, cozy yet spacious enough for our group of four, was exceptionally clean and well cared for, included thoughtful touches like an assortment of books and games as well as a tv with Wi-Fi and streaming services and boasted a guest-friendly kitchen. We were able to have a enchanting 18th birthday retreat for my granddaughter, complete with a lovely birthday dinner we prepared in the cabin's phenomenally appointed kitchen.
We visited the "Woodland Mist" cabin (aptly named because of the surrounding misty mountains) in March 2026, found the view from the cabin to be wonderful and the entire experience peaceful, restful and indeed "Soul-Restoring" for us as described in their listing. We especially enjoyed our time around the firepit in the provided camp chairs. Arriving and staying at Woodland Mist Cabin was like coming home or to a good friend's home, but better. We will return as soon as we can - and for a longer visit.
We had a great stay at the cabin! Loved the central location to the Smoky Mtn National Park/Pigeon forge/Chattanooga/and Pisgah National Forrest. Plenty of room and space for the 4 of us, and amazing views every morning having coffee on the front porch. Would definitely return.
Beautiful relaxing getaway for my husband & I🍂🍁♥️ very clean and comfortable and cozy♥️ The ride up and back down got a little scary… But once you’re up there on the mountain it was great! The contact I had with Dinah was wonderful and can reach her at most anytime with any questions or concerns👍♥️ thank you for a beautiful… peaceful cozy relaxing four days in the mountains🍁🍂☀️
A wonderful cabin stocked with ametities and anything you'd need to make you feel like you're staying in a home in the mountains, not a churn and burn rental. It's comfortable, with beautiful views and wonderful accommodations. The hosts were attentive and responsive, and I definitely want to return to the cabin. Driveway is a pretty steep tight turn, but you get the hang of it :)
Dinah was an outstanding host!! very personable and communicative! could not have asked for a better host! As for the cabin, it was adorable, and a perfect location! we will definitely be back! thanks again!!
Everything about our stay was wonderful! From communication with the owner to check in to the absolutely stunning views and the cleanliness and the appointments...I could go on and on. We had plenty to do in the area including great restaurants to the fantastic Murphy Art Guild. It was a wonderful surprise to find a casino in Murphy - I had no idea!!
Definitely a 5 star experience and would highly recommend!
So lucky to be able to stay at this lovely, clean cabin as the hurricane came through. We were on top of the mountain and even though it rained hard the entire two days, we were snug as a bug in a rug!
Out host was so kind and checked on us frequently which was very thoughtful. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Overall rating is excellent, Thank you to our hosts!
This sweet cabin was just right for my husband and me. We loved the porch rockers and enjoyed the beautiful view. We cooked breakfast and grilled at night.
I’m glad we took the truck .. steep climb to the top. The cabin was just the right size for us and had everything we needed.
We met friend in nearby Murphy and explored the Nantahala Outdoor Center. But mostly enjoyed the cabin and this beautiful quiet, escape!
we enjoyed our time at the cabin. finding all of the quirky little antiques throughout our stay. The Murphy Riverwalk, the Rare Bird Emporium and Peach Tree Produce are all worth a trip to town. The John C Campbell Folk Art School was outstanding. We had a memorable day there. But my favorite thing was, sitting on the front porch watching the butterflies on the Mimosa, and listening to the birds as the sun goes down behind the mountains and the fire flies come out.
We book this on a hurry the weekend before in a rush to family, the host Dinah was so so so helpful, this was our first time renting a house and we was kind unsure a few things, Dinah was so easy to work with and quickly responded to my messages, the house was phenomenal!!! Beautiful area sourunding was so peaceful, we sat and watched the birds and squirrels play in the morning, it is normally very hard for me to sleep while away from home, but the beds are just right. We slept like babys. lolWe will definitely be rebooking this cabin again,No issues at all from beginning to end.P.S. the shower is so relaxing has very good pressure to release that stress away. Definitely 10/10
I enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was comfortable. We had a couple of little issues but they were because of ME not reading the information provided. The incline was way steeper than I had anticipated and it took us a little while to figure out how to work the shower. But again....it was because I DID NOT READ THE INFORMATION given to us.
We had a great stay and would highly recommend. The cabin is very clean, nicely decorated, and the fireplace and firepit were very welcome additions to the cold nights. Dinah is a very attentive and friendly host.
