Sea Winds 101 Beach front, first floor, large corner unit
Imagine, your toes in the sand 60 seconds after stepping out of the condo. This first-floor corner unit is perfect for any beach lover. Avoid the elevator lines and step out the front door right next to the pool. Take the short walk over the boardwalk where the fine sand beckons to set up your beach oasis for the day. The unit has new sound dampening, hurricane windows and sliding glass doors. You will sleep soundly on the queen bed in the master bedroom and have room for guests in the second bedroom where there are two twin beds. If you have a child, the sofa also pulls out into a bed in the living room. No tub to crawl over as the master has a walk-in tiled shower. Washer/dryer in unit for guest use. Free Wi-Fi, 3 cable TV’s, unit is entirely tiled.
Once you have successfully completed the booking; you will be contacted from an MIRP rental agent for the rest of the payment. Preferred Payment method is by Check. If you would like to pay by credit card there is an extra 2.5% fee which will be added to your rental. Some extra paperwork will be emailed to you that will need to be filled out prior to arrival.
PARKING: Only 1 vehicle allowed per condo. There is a $50.00 parking fee collected at the front desk due by credit card on arrival.
EXIT CLEANING FEE may increase according to length of stay.
NOTE: This building will have construction being done on the 01 and 02 balconies starting July 20 and last thru October. Limited to no pool access during this time. Beach access will be available! Noise maybe heard throughout the building.
CANCELLATIONS must be made in writing at least 60 days prior to a WEEKLY RESERVATION scheduled arrival date. If it is a MONTHLY RESERVATION, it is 90 days prior. Cancellations received after that date will result in forfeiture of advance payment unless the unit is rebooked. All cancellations no matter when cancelled will be charged MIRP Booking Fee. Please be aware that If you DO NOT take the travel insurance and you get sick and cannot make your trip you will not get your money back. We DO NOT make exceptions for COVID.

Family loved the condo. Easy 1st floor access right out to the beach or pool. Easy to run back inside and grab something you forgot or prepare lunch.
Wife and daughters had awesome shelling experience and could run out at any time with the tide to find treasures. Best shelling we've had of any beach stays and didn't need to go on any tours.
Son caught fish and a couple sharks a couple of hundred yards south along the near the rock outcroppings. Watched a guided group pull in a 10+ ft hammerhead shark on the beach one night we were there.
Easy access to grocery stores, walk to ice cream, shops, etc. Pickleball courts were a big hit.
Amazing sunsets right out front from your patio.

Host interaction thru their management company was very good and we were able to check in early which we really appreciated. The location at the far south end of South Beach (in the Sea Winds complex next door to the Apollo and The Sunset Grille) was also great. The unit and the furniture is somewhat dated but not a dealbreaker. The beach gear was also pretty dated as well, but by far the biggest complaint was the internet. It was consistently and painfully slow to the point where the television would regularly freeze and I had a terrible time trying to work, just checking email and doing basic things on my Remote Desktop connection was a real chore. I spoke with onsite management and was instructed to reboot the router by unplugging it for 30 to 60 seconds. I did that regularly on at least a daily basis with no change in internet speed. We had a good time and especially enjoyed the sunsets from the balcony but the internet connectivity issues would preclude me from ever booking this unit again.
Positives- First and foremost, the location and/view are exceptional. The South beach at Marco is magnificent, and the first floor corner location of this condo makes the pool, and more importantly, the beach very accessible. Grandkids loved the pool and hot tub, and not a bunch of rules and restrictions to put a damper on their fun.
That being said, the condo (this one specifically, and building in general) is in need of updating. Nothing that seriously affected the use or enjoyment of the unit, but a thousand or two to update the televisions, pots and pans, bedding and towels, etc. would greatly increase the appeal of the unit. As far as the building in general, the mechanical key system (rather than key cards) was especially annoying.
Still had a great time (did I mention the beach?).

Cons: unit needs updating and kitchen needs to be better stocked.I would stay here again!
