"What a hidden gem. We had the suite on the main floor and it was fantastic. Huge living room kitchen area and then a separate room with a king size bed. It doesn't look like much from the outside but fantastic suite. Would highly recommend. Plus, head to The Doryman for dinner...the food was great."

"A wonderful one night stay at the Glenora Inn and Distillery. A nice change from chain hotels. Loved the pub, the whiskey tasting and the great live music. Our waitress Grace was so helpful with travel tips for our journey the next day. "

"Five Stars! Our two-week stay at Ridge on the Chimney in Juniper Cottage was simply unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with this unique and special place nestled near Margaree Harbor and Inverness NS.The thoughtfully designed layout of the cottage made for an incredibly comfortable and effortless living experience. Every detail was carefully considered—daily life essentials were beautifully integrated without overwhelming the space, creating a perfect harmony of aesthetics and function.The wood-fired hot tub was a highlight, offering a wonderfully relaxing way to soothe sore muscles after long days of hiking, all while enjoying breathtaking sunsets over the majestic ocean views. The private path to the beach was a daily adventure, where we delighted in wildlife sightings—brown hares, eagles, seals, and a variety of fascinating birdlife.The tranquility and solitude of this retreat provided invaluable comfort and a much-needed escape for our spirits. Scott and his team exemplify genuine care and hospitality. Their friendly, attentive service and pride in maintaining the property truly made us feel special. Their local knowledge and enthusiasm for sharing the area’s natural wonders, restaurants, and events enriched our stay even further. The cleaning team was beyond awesome ( and I know, I spent a career in commercial facilities contracting!)We have never felt so comfortable, relaxed, and reluctant to leave as we did at Ridge on the Chimney."

"This accommodation included every little detail that made it extra special. The host anticipates guest needs very well. We especially enjoyed access to the hot tubs, a great amount of towels and robes, the in-room coffee and snacks, the amenities in the main house, quality bath products. Our only feedback would be that a 10 AM check out is a little bit early compared to other properties, as is a 4 PM check in (however, the property manager allowed us an early check-in, so we were very happy with that after long travels.) We hope to stay again in the future, it was so so great! "

"My father, cousin and her husband from Ireland, and friends from Nova Scotia and I spent two nights here in July. It was fabulous. The location and views of the coastline are beautiful. We had our small puppy with us and management had a dog bed and dishes set up for our arrival. The beds were fabulous with new bedding and the cabin was spotless. Management has thought of everything including terry cloth housecoats for you to use with the hot tubs. A wonderful experience all around!"

"Gert and Gus are the most welcoming and helpful hosts! We were so grateful for the gorgeous welcome basket, the contents of which we were able to enjoy for the entirety of our trip. The little cottage is absolutely enchanting, with its beautiful location, perched high on a hill with commanding views from every side. The walk down to the river through the beautiful forest is not to be missed! The stars at night are absolutely beautiful from this location, too. You will have everything that you need, and more, in this idyllic retreat. I’ll highly recommend a stay here, with the best hosts that you could hope to meet!"
