  • Newly built 1 bedroom property which has been finished to a very high standard.

    The property was completed 3 months ago and is tastefully decorated.

    There is an open plan living area with full kitchen including washer/dryer/fridge/oven & hob.

    There is a Dinning area with table and chairs.

    The lounge has a comfortable leather sofa and armchair. If you’re staying in to watch a movie, there is a 75 inch TV complete with Surround System, Sky & Netflix.

    There are shutters throughout the property.

    There are 2 sets of French doors leading out to a paved patio with table & chairs.

    The property is located is a quiet cul de sac with parking always available immediately outside the property.

    Margate railway station is located just under a mile away and there are bus stop is well located a few hundred yards away.

    The property is 7 minutes walk to the local beach at Westbrook or if you prefer things a little busier, a 15-20 walk to Margate where you can find the Turner Centre & Dreamland theme park which also hold events/gigs throughout the year.

    The property is conveniently located with a bus stop within a 2 minute walk and 2 train stations about a mile away. Broadstairs is just 2 stops on the train so leave the car and enjoy !

This property was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our two week stay in the UK. Stores for snacks and food were not that far away and parking was good. Not only that the area itself was very peaceful and we loved the patio especially in the hot weather spell we had. The accommodation was better than anyone could explain it was exceptionally clean and brand new decor making it bright and cheerful we would recommend this place to anyone. Hosts were very helpful indeed.

The communication with the host was phenomenal with very clear instructions which made the check in process very easy. The entire home was very clean, comfortable and the location was perfect. The host were very friendly and warm check in on arrival and also asked that I let them know if anything was required through out the stay. I highly recommend and will look forward to returning some other time. Overall the experience was fantastic.

Little gem in Margate

Beautiful little cottage, very central to visit surrounding places, for example Canterbury. London is about 1,5 hours away. Everything was sparkling clean, comfortable bed. Carrianne and Martin were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the sweets and the bubbly. We would love to come back.

THE BOLTHOLE liegt im Stadtteil Westbrook von Margate und ich würde diesen Teil als "Cottage-Viertel" bezeichnen, denn Margate selbst ist ein, in die Jahre gekommener Badeort der Briten, der leider schon bessere Zeiten erlebt hat. Für Ausflüge nach Canterbury, Dover, Whistable und viele weitere sehenswerte Punkte in Kent ist die Lage aber perfekt. Zur Standpromenade geht man 5 Minuten und von dort sind es ca. 20 Minuten hinein in die Stadt - ein wirklich schöner Spaziergang entlang des Meeres. Das Appartement selbst ist wirklich schön und mit allem eingerichtet was man braucht (allerdings gibt es keinen Geschirrspüler aber dafür eine Waschmaschine) Das Badezimmer ist riesig und auch das Bett war sehr bequem. Alles in allem entsprechen die Bilder des Inserates definitiv der Wirklichkeit - alles ist modern und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet, ein gemütliches "Home away from Home". Die Besitzer selbst sind jederzeit über die App oder telefonisch erreichbar und überaus hilfsbereit und freundlich. Perfekt ist natürlich auch die Parkmöglichkeit direkt vor dem Haus. Wir hatten 4 wunderbare Tage im The Bolthole und würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

Described as a newly built property but was actually built during Covid. Quality of facilities very good but badly let down by cleanliness issues. Around the base of shower tray black grime, kitchen sink accessories stained and fridge needed cleaning. Looks like a quick hoover and tidy is all it gets between customers. Overall very disappointed. Not good value for money and can’t agree with other reviews.
