We were very happy to stay at Best Western Marina State Beach. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The gentleman at the front desk was especially professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. The location is great, close to the ocean and not far from Monterey. The hotel is a little older, but it is very well maintained, and you can tell that the staff really takes care of the property. Our room was very clean, smelled fresh, and the beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast, and we really appreciated having coffee and tea available throughout the day. That was a very nice touch. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

I enjoyed my stay, the staffs are very helpful.The location is excellent—it's just a short walk from Marina State Beach and only a short drive to Monterey, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The hotel was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. My only drawback was the price, which was higher than my budget. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, especially if location is your priority.

comfortable beds. Phone didn't work. Air conditioning didn't work. Bathroom very small. When opening door it would brush the toilet. Breakfast was ok. Staff friendly but we will try another hotel next time.

Room was clean, xtra big, breakfast was good, the out door area was nice my fiancé and I sat after breakfast to relax with the fire pits but they weren’t working but we sat for a good 10min it was nice. The only issues we had was that it was a bit noisy, our door wasn’t made right so there was a gap at the top that let a some of the cold air in but with the heater on it was ok. Also looked like there was work being done to the place. For one night it was okay.

Location is perfect. Short walk to amazing State beach. Staff were friendly and informative. Lots of families staying there during Easter weekend but hotel was nice and quiet at night. Decent beds. Breakfast is included but don’t be too optimistic. You get a great location with quick access to Monterey without a Monterey hotel markup. And the beach is 100% worth it.
