The breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only reason that I gave them four stars is because the trash cans were overflowing all over the property. I think they were just booked up.

Pros: 7min. walk to the beach. Has EV charger on site. easy check in and check out. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. +Microwave and fridge. Good value for the money. Cons: Dated. Very tight bathroom in the standard room. Doors and bathroom fixtures needs some fixing. Towels old.only 1 trashcan found in our room qnd thats the BR bin. The bedsheets are stained.

We were very happy to stay at Best Western Marina State Beach. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The gentleman at the front desk was especially professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. The location is great, close to the ocean and not far from Monterey. The hotel is a little older, but it is very well maintained, and you can tell that the staff really takes care of the property. Our room was very clean, smelled fresh, and the beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast, and we really appreciated having coffee and tea available throughout the day. That was a very nice touch. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was a great value! The rooms were updated, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was very good for the price point of the hotel. This is a great place for families. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

I enjoyed my stay, the staffs are very helpful.The location is excellent—it's just a short walk from Marina State Beach and only a short drive to Monterey, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The hotel was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. My only drawback was the price, which was higher than my budget. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, especially if location is your priority.

Room was clean, xtra big, breakfast was good, the out door area was nice my fiancé and I sat after breakfast to relax with the fire pits but they weren’t working but we sat for a good 10min it was nice. The only issues we had was that it was a bit noisy, our door wasn’t made right so there was a gap at the top that let a some of the cold air in but with the heater on it was ok. Also looked like there was work being done to the place. For one night it was okay.

This Motel is under renovations, unfortunately paint and flooring aren’t all it needs. The bathrooms are so small you have to step into the shower for the bathroom door to close. The phone in our room did t work so we had to walk to the office to ask a question (not a big deal but could be a safety issue). The electrical doesn’t make sense; switches going to wrong or weird plugs. The wall ac unit filter was horrific. We cleaned it out by wiping down and the rinsing but it still wasn’t great. And biggest issue of all, it wasn’t clean. Bathroom was gross, hair in the shower and on the floor. I am thankful they offered breakfast, that’s always appreciated in my book. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Room was dirty. Stain on floor and dust balls. The TV did not work. The shower pressure was extremely strong with Freezing water. Positives were the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good.
