"The unique Terlingua Ranch Lodge was unexpected and well worth the 16 mile ride across the desert road, especially the last 3 miles of graded gravel !
The room accomodations were more than adequate and the surprisingly refreshing pool area, the onsite Bad Rabbit Cafe (food selection, pricing, and portions more than fair), grilling/eating/picnic area's welcoming, and the office staff informative.
Be ready for: Bright Sky and stars! Very little phone service and no room TV; only internet upon your choice.
The T.R.L. was a true oasis in the Chihuahuan dessert at big Bend National Park. We highly recommend staying there, if you can get reservations !"
"Trailer was well-equipped with everything we needed; host responded quickly to any communications; location was minutes from Big Bend and the town of Terlingua; there is a grocery litterally across the street."
"Great Views and Very Close to Big Bend. No Bathrooms in the cabin it is shard space. My wife walked in on a man going to the bathroom #2 and he had the door wide open and did not bother to close it once my wife walked in. Partly my fault for not reading the reviews and seeing others post about how small it is. The Pictures are very misleading about the actual living space. We made it work though and overall it was ok but i could have stayed at big bend station for the same price and not have a shared bathroom and bigger space to sleep "
Longhorn Ranch Motel - RV Park with Power and No Sewer
8/10 Good
"Got in and set up camp easily enough. Directions on VRBO to the site were incorrect but the owner messaged us and let us know. Bathroom was in good condition which was nice. Wish the campsite fire was in better condition and that there was more of a flat area for setting up the tent and wish there was a table to use. Good overall though and close to the park. "
"Location, location, location. You really can’t get much better than this. You are just a few minutes from BBNP in one direction and Terlingua in the other, with a general store within easy walking distance (a bit pricey but good for stuff you forgot, and also sells charcoal if you plan on grilling). It’s right off the road, but being on the southern tip of Terlingua there is hardly any traffic after dark, so you still get that remote big sky experience. When I messaged the host about grill tongs, he was very quick to respond. Cabin was perfect for a couple, felt a bit crowded when our other couple came a day later, but we knew that going in. All in all a good place, would stay again for our next trip out there."
