"Stayed two nights, average about $180 per night. It's expensive, but no refrigerator, no microwave, no table lamp, no shampoo and conditioner, no tissue paper, no ice (you can buy bagged ice). Carpet is old and perhaps not clean, bed sheet is not white, door and windows have gaps to allow bugs to get in. The only positive things are the location is close to the park, and the manager was very nice."
"This property was amazing to stay at. It was remote and the staff were amazing. They offer shampoo, conditioner, body wash and not the little tiny bottles. You do have to pay for ice it doesn’t come free like other hotels but they sell bags there. They have the restaurant on property and the office sells things as well.
Things to know. They don’t have cell service but they do have WiFi. They don’t have tvs in the room, even radio reception is very spotty.
Just so you know it does say your 45 mins to Big Bend but it actually takes longer from the actual lodge to Big Bend. Plan to drive 1-2hrs depending on where you’re planning to drive to Big Bend. Make sure you have plenty of gas. Once you reach into town you will find a grocery store, gas station, and other restaurants and shop.
They are pet friendly and we parked right at room. Half of the road and all of the lodge is unpaved.
Stars are amazing at night and it’s was so peaceful.
If you’re a coffee drinker bring your own maker, there are no microwaves in the rooms, but there is a mini fridge.
Pool was beautiful and well maintained. They have pits by the pool if you want to bbq. "
"We stayed for five nights in the Emory Suite. The bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. We loved the living and dining areas, too. The area is near the road, but traffic slows to nothing at bedtime and it’s so quiet. Stargazing is also wonderful. We would recommend this property to anyone traveling to the Big Bend/Terlingua area. "
"Clean trailer and very convenient for our adventures to Big Bend national park. They even provided firewood if you wanted to build a fire. Communications with Crystal were clear and quick."
"Couldn't have asked for nicer accommodations! Very clean and the a/c worked great! Will definitely stay here again. Hosts were great and very responsive."
"Great Views and Very Close to Big Bend. No Bathrooms in the cabin it is shard space. My wife walked in on a man going to the bathroom #2 and he had the door wide open and did not bother to close it once my wife walked in. Partly my fault for not reading the reviews and seeing others post about how small it is. The Pictures are very misleading about the actual living space. We made it work though and overall it was ok but i could have stayed at big bend station for the same price and not have a shared bathroom and bigger space to sleep "
MJ's Cabin. Private cabin just 3.5 miles from BBNP
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay! MJs is the perfect location to everything! The out door fire pit and table area were wonderful in the evenings! Great view of the Santa Elena canyon and close to cottonwood general store! Will be back! "
