"The room was clean enough, I guess. I was given a room on the 3rd floor that did have a lake view. That was nice. The washed towels still had stains on them. Btw, this may have been a temporary problem, but the water from the faucet and shower was brown at the beginning. I went to the front desk and they charged me $2.00 per bottle of water. "I would give Carson Inn 3 stars. Overall, the hotel wasn’t anything to write home about, but it did what we needed it to do. The room itself was clean and appeared to be well maintained. My biggest issue was that I accidentally booked a smoking room through Expedia. I completely take responsibility for not catching it during the booking process, which is why I’m giving 3 stars instead of 1.
