Thank you Bec & Jeff for a most wonderful stay. We loved all the little touches in the room which made it really comfortable. From the local produce in the kitchen, super comfy bed, newly renovated bathroom and the stunning view out the kitchen window. Marlo Hideaway was one of our most favourite places we have stayed.

Perfect half way stay for our young family from Melbourne to Canberra. Made the trip so much more manageable. The kids loved the place, had great fun in the little crooked playhouse, and at the pirate themed playground just up the road. We also loved seeing the cows through the windows and had an excellent dinner at the local hotel. Would stay again.

Amazing tiny house

An awesome tiny house with everything you could need. Amazing use of space. High quality fittings and fabulous shower. Very comfortable bed too. Generous provisions and lovely sourdough bread. Wonderfully relaxing setting.

A well kept motel, extremely clean and comfortable room, with thoughtfully equipped kitchen. Owners are evidently courteous and working hard to keep the property in top condition. Highly recommended.

Now I know why this property has got an exceptionally high rating! Well-deserved! It was what all the reviews mentioned - cozy, clean, not just inside but the surrounding. Met Jeff, the personable owner who’d waited for my family of 5 as we had a late check-in. It was such a bonus to have the nice sourdough bread for breakfast w tea/coffee. Definitely worth the effort to be here for a relaxing stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this retreat, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, the owner greeted me with warmth and made me feel right at home. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, and also had all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was the convenient walk to the local Cafe and Marlo Hotel, where I enjoyed delicious meals and drinks. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend the Marlo Hideaway to anyone looking for a memorable stay in the area!

Bec and Jeff were very hospitable. Gave great recommendations for local spots and were always up for a chat. You can tell that they really care about their property, their guests and Marlo. Marlo Hideaway is a great location - really close to the pub and the beach. The only thing to note is that breakfast is only until 8:30 which for someone who is not an early riser means you won’t get this inclusion.

This is an absolute gem near the mouth of the Snowy River. The accommodations are simple, with just enough room for the beds, kitchen, tiny bathroom, and dinette, but everything is very tidy and well-maintained. The owners welcomed us, providing a few local products for our breakfast. Really, though, it's the outdoors that makes this place so attractive. The property itself invites you to cook out in the outdoor grilling area, play in the small pool (it was winter, so we resisted), and explore the natural wonders in the region. Would definitely return with the family for a more extended stay.

What an amazing place to stay. Geoff & Bec were most welcoming and they are very eco aware. The communal bbq area is particularly fun with an opportunity to write a favourite quote or life lesson on the chalk board. The garden is great too. Quite rustic and a planter full of salad veg and herbs that guests are invited to use. Highly recommend this charming holiday getaway. Sourdough loaf for breakfast too. ❤️

Family roadtrip

Amazing little place to stay, an absolute hidden gem!! We loved the artwork, the cosy homey feel while still staying contemporary, the comfy beds and the little touches!!! The fresh ground coffee, local butter and fresh sourdough bread were really appreciated. There were lots of cooking utensils provided and plenty of fresh towels and extra blankets. Some shelving or hooks in the kids' room would be handy, but we loved the storage area leading to the bathroom. Gorgeous garden, mud bricks and outdoor kitchen for warmer weather. Pool and cubby house for the kids too!
