"AVOID AT ALL COSTS Overall a really horrible stay. From dirty linen to really poor communication it was not a great stay. I definitely do NOT recommend. Holes on the wall, damaged furniture, a dirty sock on the floor, beds not made, smoking alarm coming off the ceiling, dirty linen, no toilet paper… Contact with the host as also been appalling. Been trying to resolve this situation and still waiting on a solution so AVOID! "

"Location was hard to find, had to ask someone in a local shop. It is not accessible and up cobbled steps. We had two dogs and a 6 month old in a pram so that was difficult to navigate. The yard space was okay to let the dogs out and there is a gate but it was always being left open by others so if you have dogs who like to run off, this is not good. "Really small cottage not really suited to 4 people, only one 2 seater sofa in living room, small bathroom, whole cottage could do with a freshen up, good location & comms from host & stay was really good. "

"My husband, toddler, and greyhound stayed for three nights in this lovely cottage. It was quiet and cozy, with all the amenities we needed. The location was perfect for accessing the train station and pub. Our dog was also very comfortable—the house did not smell of pets. It had been cleaned very well. "

"Very enjoyable stay in a surprisingly roomy terraced property. Quiet location yet very close to centre of Stokesley. High standard of cleaning and equipment. Our only issues were directions to the property, key in the wrong place and a microwave problem. We believe all of these points are being addressed."

"Cottage was ok but after booking through hotels.com I was contacted by Host & Stay and advised I had to pay an additional fee for a damage waiver. Alternatively I could pay a deposit but they take an admin fee so you don’t get the full amount back plus they state they may take 14 days to refund."
