Traditional Villa built circa 1910 with original period features including Kauri floorboards, sash windows etc. Three double bedrooms, open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with large open fire.

Property includes modern purpose built games room with bar area, pool table, table tennis table, dart board, large screen TV, record player and log burner (for winter) and large pergola area (for summer).

Property is approx 900m from the town centre and walking distance to a number of local vineyards, bars, cafes and restaurants.

Property is pet friendly, with fully fenced backyard.

Weekend away

This is normally a great property with the games room, that we have stayed in before. However we do think soap should be provided in the bathroom, there was only a nearly empty handsoap for the basin. Also the cobwebs everywhere should really be cleaned away, they are not nice at all.

Weekend Away

Great location. Stayed for 2 nights after hiking Mt Holdsworth. Easy walk into the Martinborough square. Outdoor games room and patio beautiful on a sunny day. Left an item behind and Karen returned it with no charge. Only build is pillows in 2 bedrooms were very thin.

Got together for a family 30th at this lovely,private, well fenced dog friendly house with amazing separate games area. It was perfect to get everyone together without putting pressure on any one to open up their own home. Absolutely brilliant

Lovely place, everything you need is there, games room is amazing…. Great private back yard. those pesky local cockroaches were huge but thankfully fly spray was provided….. we will definitely be back

Loved by kids, dogs and adults

Everything you need in one great location. We loved popping next door to the wineries and heading up the road to hire bikes and swim in the free local pool. The house was comfortable and well equipped but the games room was something else. Pool, darts, table tennis, music, board games and a bar kept us all entertained. Thanks for a great stay. We will be back again soon!

Haven in the vines

A wonderful place to stay in a prime location on the edge of town. We’ll equipped and comfortable, the house has charming period features and is surrounded by charming gardens. And the separate games room provides a whole additional level to the experience. Our only disappointment was that we didn’t have more time. Thoroughly recommended.

Great for a ling weekend with family

House has all we need and spacious. The open fire was a treat. The garden is large and private with great morning sun. The highlight is the outbuilding, games retreat with bar, or mancave. A really well thought out space with pool table and table tennis and darts. Also a bar and opens brilliantly to the outside and gets great all day sun so stays warm. So much fun. Thanks.

Overall, very nice - good size bedrooms and living space. Heating for the spaces could be better. Firewood was wet so didn't burn too well. Beds were comfy and plenty of bedding to keep out the cold. Shower good. Heated towel rail would be nice, towels didn't dry easily.

A stay without the mod cons

Property a bit tired ie shower looked like it had seen better days. Could do with a clean up in and out. We cleaned the dishes, bench tops, and drawers by hand before we ate as everything had a sticky feel. Kettle was filthy. Boiled our water on the stove. Was off putting seeing cameras in the games room area. Couldn't get the tv to work in the games room, and no instructions either, so didn't end up not spending much time in there and that was one of the main reason we booked. So that was disappointing.There was however plenty of space for a family. About a 10min walk to Martinborough, and a short drive. Lovely outlook, and having the wineries next door. Peaceful nights sleep also. Thank you.
