"It was our second time at Maistra Funtana. And we have already booked for next year, again. A very well organized and very good managed hotel. It should deserve at least 4*. Tasty food, clean and recently renovated rooms, a lovely pool kids pool and a nice beach with a lot of included sports offerings. Staff was always very nice and friendly - especially to both of our kids. Thank you Maistra Funtana team. See you next year! "

"I really liked this place. Marko was super friendly and helpful and the place is really good. Locally situated it was easy to walk around.
The let down was the noise, not the noise from outside as I didn’t hear that but the neighbours were really noisy. They kept talking (more like shouting) until 1:30am which if you are catching an early ferry is annoying. Maybe it was a once off but did ruin the rest I wanted ."

"Excelente hotel en un edificio histórico recientemente remodelado. Nos recibieron con una aperol spritz para mi y un café para mi esposa de cortesía. El hotel tiene transporte en bote gratuito para la isla del frente así como un shuttle gratis para el Pical Resort. Nos llevaron a la estación de bus sin costo y fue posible un early check in. Recomendado 100%"

"The hotel is in a fabulous location. The staff are lovely, in fact everyone in Porec was super friendly. We stayed two night which was perfect. The room was small and we would recommend upgrading if you have any mobility issues. "

"Very clean and well-appointed apartment with a good location in a lovely town. We all wished we had a more time to spend in Porec than just a night. "

"First of all, this is a lovely hotel with a great location right on the sea front. Staff all friendly, breakfast was super and the bar area very relaxed. All in all a thoroughly recommended hotel.
The one niggle (with the town in general, not the hotel's fault really) is the parking arrangements. You can't park in the town for more than 15 mins. After that you have to move it outside the town gates and get a shuttle bus back in. The 15 mins is extended to 30 mins for hotel guests. The only problem is that the over-enthusiastic parking officers don't know who is a hotel guest and who isn't. So by the time you have walked from the parking area to the hotel reception, dealt with check in, taken bags to the room, and got back to the car, you will probably be ~20mins. As a result, I had a parking ticket when I got back to the car to move it back out of town. After parking and getting the shuttle bus, I told the driver about the ticket who assured me it wasn't a problem and it happened a lot. He took the ticket from me, assuring me that the hotel would deal with it. I've no idea what the outcome was but I'm hoping it's cleared now and I won't get a bill from the car hire company in few weeks for an unpaid ticket. It's all unnecessary anxiety while on holiday. Why they don't simply tell you to park outside the town and call the shuttle from there is a mystery. It would be far easier.
As I say, it isn't really the hotel's fault and they did assure me it was dealt with."
"Everything was pretty exceptional, from the design and attention to detail, the room is always cleaned every time I come back. The only thing (and I don't think it takes away from the full experience) is that there should be a shortcut to the rooms further away from the main lobby, granted that there is a full courtyard for a cafe also owned by the hotel, I presume."
Isabella Island Hotel & Villas, Valamar Collection
10/10 Excellent
"We had a fantastic stay and honestly felt that the resort exceeded our expectations.
We stayed in one of the villas rather than the main hotel and traveled with our two young daughters. We drove from Budapest and found the entire arrival process very easy. We parked in the designated parking area, took the short ferry ride across, and the staff brought our luggage directly to our room.
The villa was excellent. The air conditioning kept the room nice and cool, the water pressure was great, there was always plenty of hot water, and everything worked exactly as it should. The Wi-Fi was also excellent throughout the resort, which was important since I needed to do some remote work during our stay. I was even able to use one of the conference rooms for several Zoom meetings.
The resort itself was beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The beaches were great, the pool was nice, and there was always something to do. Our daughters loved the Kids Club, the nightly mini disco, and all of the activities available throughout the day. There was also live music and entertainment for adults in the evenings.
The staff were wonderful. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional.
The food was good overall and about what we would expect from an all-inclusive resort. Some meals were better than others, but we always found plenty to enjoy. The only area that felt a little crowded was the main dining room during peak dinner hours. We found that eating a bit later"
"Had a balcony overlooking the harbor. Great breeze, convenient to anyplace in town. Breakfast was a fantastic buffet.... probably the best we have had in our last month traveling Europe.
Would recommend. Ferry to Venice boards across the street."
