The village of Beirã is an excellent starting point for discovering the historical villages of Marvao (10 km) and Castelo de Vide (12 km) with their medieval castles, as well as the route of the Jewish presence (Castelo de Vide and Valencia de Alcântara). ). The ancient Roman city of Ammaia (São Salvador da Aramenha) is 13 km away. In the region there are abundant traces of the Celtic presence (tapirs, menhirs).
