A beautiful hotel walking distance to the little township. The staff are incredibly helpful and polite. The food is amazing and good value for money. It is certainly worthwhile visiting this cute little town when on a road trip of the north.

Only there for one night, people friendly, room was immaculate, bed was a little firm but i am used to a soft mattress topper

The staff were lovely especially the breakfast lady who works really hard. My room was clean and comfortable apart from the stains all over the carpet, perhaps a couple of rugs would go nice.

Lovely hotel. Breakfast was lovely. Staff friendly. Struggle to get to the room, our room was on the top floor. Not the hotels fault, just I have an ankle issue and struggled. Make sure to ask for a lower floor if you have mobility issues, no lift. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you to everyone.

Stayed two nights at hotel, no housekeeping service on Saturday, stains on the carpet and just little things missing, like box of tissues in the room, not teaspoon with the tea making facility and no fresh/clean cup for the following morning.

Redeemed a reward night and was happy with that. A very warm welcome and quick check in. Room was adequate and clean with great views over the harbour.
The Cumbrian breakfast was sufficient, attentively hosted by the staff.
Totally enjoyed the 1 night stay in Maryport, and loved the warm welcome from the locals.
As for the price for a 1 night stay without a reward night, I'l leave that up to others.

Very thin walls and ceilings I was kept awake all night but the room upstairs leaving there tv on, could here every time someone coughed or used the bathroom, will not stay there ever again as no compensation was offered

When we came to check in the receptionist apologised and told us that there was a wedding party going on but said the music should begin to stop at 11. The music (and then the sound of people packing up the wedding) lasted until one in the morning and made sleep impossible.
On top of this the bed itself was really solid and you can feel the mattress springs, as mentioned in other reviews. We put our duvet on top and asked if they could provide any extra bedding. While the receptionist was able to give us a duvet cover there was no duvet in it so it was really cold. The paint on the walls was also damp and peeling.
We had phoned ahead to ask if they could provide us with an iron. The iron they gave us literally leaked water out of the power cord. The second iron didn’t work at all. By the time we got to third iron we were very short on time. We visited so we could go to a wedding so while this might seem small, it was really stressful.
They did allow us to change rooms that night (but without an apology) and the next room was adequate and basic.
We do not normally leave reviews, particularly for small businesses. The reason we are here is that they have flat out refused to apologise or offer us a partial refund. We tried to talk to them both at the hotel and then through hotels.com in the hope that they had made a mistake, would read the above points and acknowledge that it wasn’t acceptable.
