"Booked months ahead, the owner should have warned us property was under construction. Dust and dirt everywhere and had to park 2 blocks away. Luckily the rest of our Italy trip was exceptional. This hotel was very forgettable."

"Ideal lovely location on a mt hillside with a beautiful sea view and mountain ranges behind us. Charming couple that own the house. Daniele was very helpful getting our dog the correct health certificate papers since we were visiting Italy for 3 months. He went over and above helping us...and we are very grateful. The house is as described-safe area and close to Lucca and Viareggio Beach and town...a fabulous area to visit!!! Perfect location and base to see all the sights in Tuscany and go on day adventures plus 3 day getaway's too thru out Tuscany. I only have a few suggestions-you need a regular Mr Coffee machine, a Microwave and you need to make space for people's food-Plus an area with the designated trash bags hanging somewhere...You have so many dishes and pie tins there is no room for any thing else...too much stuff- But we were there a month- We loved our stay at this darling house-we would definitely stay here again and we definitely recommend this gem to anyone looking for a wonderful place to enjoy beautiful Tuscany- Thank you very much for everything and your generous generosity in helping us with all the confusing paperwork for our lil doggie. Great time! Great hosts! Wonderful wonderful! Loved it! Thank you ever so much!"

"The Villa is beautiful and the view looks just like the photos. We filled up all five big rooms but we never felt on top of each other. There is plenty of space! On our first night we had a private chef come and cook for us and it was a perfect evening looking out over the twinkling lights of the villages and cities below. The Villa itself is on top of a mountain and will be no problem getting up to the top if you are a brave driver. Several in our party got cabs from Lucca and Viareggio and they had zero issues accessing the property. We took easy day trips to Florence, Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano, Viareggio, and La Spezia for a boat trip. There is also a great winery, Tenuta Adams, about 15 minutes away that has a great premier wine tasting (30 euros) that comes with five wines, their olive oil, a fabulous cheese and meat charcuterie board, and foccacia bread. Massarosa is the nearest village at the bottom of the mountain which has cute coffee shops (Agora Cafe), gas, a Conad, a gelateria, and some good restaurants and quick access to the highway. We really loved this place and would return in a heartbeat."
