"Such a great spot right opposite the playground and the beach! Our small kids loved a trip to the next bay in the kayaks, and spent loads of time on the playground and exploring the beach! The house is amazing, love the old nz ways of cleaning yourself and saving some money. A real quiet and safe area. Would recommend, and stay again!"

"We loved the view ! We were able to see the ocean, food was fantastic and fun shops in walking distance. The hot tubs and pool and sauna were welcome after trekking about the beach all day. One mistake I made caused me to pay extra on the way home because my check in was over weight- I should have packed less and washed my clothes there. All in all great place to stay!"

"Nice motel which is a short walk from Orewa centre and directly across from beach. Our room was newly renovated and was spotless and spacious with everything you would need. Parking is a bit tight but adequate with street parking available if you have a large vehicle."
Warkworth Lodge

"Overall we like spent nights here. Close to everywhere nearby by walking distance. Cafés restaurants and supermarket. Free parking. Hopefully they still maintain everything in the lodge in the future."

"It was a great first-time-trip to the Warkworth township and Matakana area, for the family. We were impressed by the friendlyness of Lisa and Steve, when we had check-in. We had a little problem with the door lock seemed stuck. We asked for help and Steve helped us open the door eventually. The property is basically the next-close-to-home for us. It has most of the amenities ready and very sunny rooms. They kids love the free wifi (of course) but did not have chance to try the swimming pool, as it was a cold day. The hosts prepared some freshly harvested fruits for us, plus milk and drinkable water in the fridge, which was very nice. It would be great if we could have a box of tissue at the room which can be handy. The property is very close to the Warkworth town center, also easy to drive to Snells beach. We would say it is a good value for money!"
