"The Island Safari Lodge is a great option for those staying in Maun to explore the Okavango Delta, Chiefs Island, and Morami. The property is massive with extensive walking trails and wildlife. The entire property is also walled and gated so you won’t encounter dangerous animals. The lodging is a bit dated so think of a higher end cabin experience as opposed to a hotel. "Our room was great, good AC, bathroom etc. There is a pool which local people also use and the weekend we werr there it was full of very happy children and families. The chef crrated lovely vegetarian meals for us."

"Excellent place to step off into the Okavango Delta, Merremi Wildlife Reserve or head to Chobe National Park. Staff are helpful, and provide a range of services and products. Only problem I had was the zipper on my tent was broken and I was given no keys to the lock (for me that was not a problem)"

"We arrived at the Rivernest Boutique Cottages, and were told that they had been overbooked (though we had booked online several months prior) and that we were to be moved. We were sent to a different hotel a few minutes drive away, and given a room. The hotel we were re-booked at was cheaper than Rivernest, and we did not receive a credit or a refund of any kind. We had heard good things about this place, but unfortunately got to experience none of them. Good luck!"
