"My husband, son's girlfriend and I stayed in The Nest when our son was in town playing baseball against Lamar University. This house was a great alternative to a hotel. It was cute, clean and well stocked. The owner had great communication and left some special touches in the home for us. The only negative is the size of the beds if you have more than 2 adults. I bought a $30 air mattress and took sheets from home. That worked fine for us. I recommend this house if you are going to be visiting...

"Nice cozy place with good amenities like hot tub, small firepit, creek access for good fishing and comfortable furnishings inside the house. Our only small let down, if you can even call it that, was that the location was not as secluded as we thought. It's pretty close to town and the other cabins on the property are pretty close by which makes it feel not as secluded as we hoped for. Overall, I would say 8.5 out of 10 rating though. Thanks."

"A hidden gem for the serious fisherman. This location is perfect for a small/large boat - fresh/salt water fishing. You can moor your boat in the back yard; no need to load and unload your boat daily. Boat ramp within walking distance. The small neighborhood has some of the most friendly and helpful people around. If your looking for a fishing trip that guarantees catching fish with out an expensive guide this is it! We fished everywhere - offshore, Jetties, Pass, Lake, and rivers. This place...

"The pictures made it seem that it was a beautiful place. The sliding doors did not have any handles, tissue was placed because where the handles are supposed to be it was exposed to the outdoors. The place was not clean and up to par. No oven, but it was a countertop oven that we used. The bugs were ridiculous, they were coming in from the outside through the cracks ."

"The house was lovely, the yard needed mowing badly. Was disappointed the yard was not fenced. We thought a pet friendly property would have a fenced yard. The neighborhood was awful. We tried to not go out at night. Neighbors had large groups of people outside almost all the time they played loud vulgar music. The yard had little cockle burrs bad. They got into our little 6 pound senior dogs fur so bad we had to take him to the animal er to get them out on Saturday."
