"It seems like it used to be a Motel 6, but it isn’t bad. I’m grading it based on it being an extended stay. Sure, it’s definitely no Hilton, or Ritz Carlton, but for what you pay, you get more than enough. There is no breakfast, but you’re in walking distance of an Einstein Bagels and a lovely shopping center across the street that sells great coffee and pastries. Hello Gold Stripe. I miss you dearly. The staff were great and super sweet. Real Texas charm out there for sure. The rooms are small, but offer comfy beds, a bathroom with a hairdryer, a full sized fridge and freezer, a kitchen with a microwave for those awesome meals you can take away in Lubbock, a decent tv, and living room sitting after a long drive through the west. My only gripe is that the gap from the doors the floor are too big. Lubbock is windy and dust gets in your room after a storm. I swept it up, but it was a minor annoyance. Not enough to hate the place. The parking is tight, but I didn’t have problems getting in and out, I didn’t feel unsafe, and the location is flawless. Great shopping, downtown, and Texas Tech are literal minutes away. You even have a stellar grocery store on the other side of the freeway. What!? Coming from a mega city, this is unheard of. I never felt like I was too far from anything. I recommend it and would stay again. Thanks to the staff for a great time. They’ll get you whatever you need. Lubbock is awesome!"

"Worst hotel experience of my life. On my first night, I found hair in the shower and it looked like someone had used the toilet and it was never cleaned. The bathroom was clearly not cleaned before my arrival, so I wasn’t even able to shower that night like I normally would. The next morning, housekeeping finally cleaned the bathroom. Before leaving for the funeral I was in town for, I asked the staff to change my sheets while I was gone. I returned around 6 PM and it still hadn’t been done. At that point, they moved me to another room. The second room didn’t even have face towels. When I went downstairs to ask for some, first they gave me foot mats, and then when I went back, I was told the hotel was OUT OF TOWELS. How is a hotel out of towels? Completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the hallway lights near the new room were out too. Who is running this place? Multiple rooms in our family group had issues during our stay. After all of this, they only offered me a 15% discount for the first night. This was a horrible experience for me and my family, especially while we were already in town for a funeral. I would not stay here again."
