"The location is a short walk from Entebbe Road where you can easily hail a van taxi. The apartment I stayed in had great views where I could see Lake Victoria. And beyond I could see the mountain view. The property is equipped with solar which came in handy a few times when the regular lights shut off. Then the solar would normally kick in. This happened a few times while I was there. There were two Sundays where the water was shut off. That was a bit alarming. The first Sunday the water came...

A hotel with a swimming pool, multiple balconies, and a well-lit exterior.

Mlex Hotel

Maya

8/10 Good

The property is quite an unexpected find in the area. Enjoy the delights of a pool, soon to be ready gym, decent bar undecisive between reliving the 40's and honouring the today's and of course the excellent cook; truly deserving the title Chef. The mattress may be a bit hard for your liking, however, the night's sleep is guaranteed mosquito free thanks to the good mosquito nets around the bed. If you are a light sleeper and pondering the thought of not getting up too early, I would suggest you...

Athena Hotel Kampala

Nakawa

10/10 Excellent

I had a wonderful stay at Athena Hotel in Kampala. The room was exceptionally spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It truly has the charm and quality of a boutique hotel. What stood out the most was the warm hospitality of the staff. Everyone was welcoming, professional, and always attentive to the smallest details, making me feel genuinely valued as a guest. The breakfast was another highlight, offering an excellent variety of fresh and...

Ali

A restaurant interior with a wine rack, hanging lights, and a mural on the wall.

Arcadia Suites Hotel Kampala

Central Kampala

10/10 Excellent

Very nice staff and a very good check-in and welcome. The room was huge and extremely comfortable including a kitchen. The bathroom was great - large modern and clean. One morning there was no water in the shower and they got it fixed immediately. The breakfast was really good as was the service. The breakfast room and bar are open air on the top so offer very nice views of the city. The gym has three exercise bikes and that really helps in a city like Kampala where it is hard to walk/run.

Charlie

Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa

Kampala

10/10 Excellent

We picked the hotel for a long weekend in Uganda and could not be more pleased. The hotel is new and very clean with excellent service. It is located about 5 miles off Entebbe Road so feels quite remote but when the new highway to Entebe is completed, it will be much easier to reach with a nearby exit. The food was of high quality and good choices and very affordable. We also give high marks to the spa and would recommend you make time for a treatment or two during your stay. The Internet was...
