Beautiful house on Chianti hilltop with exceptional views.

"The outside area and views are really what makes this villa so special and unique. Once you get used to the quite tricky dirt track (10 mins long and dont come in a sports car!) You feel more relaxed. We were scared to go out after arriving. You cant just nip to a shop or restaurant so be prepared to drive everywhere. Night time driving is an adventure, we saw a wild boar and a giant porcupine on our treks. The villa was very hot especially in the south facing bedrooms so keep the shutters closed. We had a heatwave so struggled at night sleeping. The villa is very rustic and feels quite dark but that is the character. You really sit outside 95% of the time as it is simply stunning. The table with the arch window was where we ate, played cards and chatted by candlelight. Superb. Take binoculars for star gazing as there us zero light pollution so you can see everything. Book Serena to cook at least once, and dont leave any food or she will make you eat it haha. That was one of our best nights. Must seesSan Gimignano and Siena our top 2. The sentier Elsa trail out side colle val D'elsa is stunning. Waterfalls and turquoise pools. Google it before you go its 30 mins away. Book a wine tour at Frattoria Pomona with Monica if you can. She is fabulous. If you want to see Florence go at 8am. We got there too late to park anywhere snd sat in traffic for over an hour. We gave up. Montepulciano is worth a visit too. All in all 10/10 holiday"

"We had the most wonderful stay with Sam & Franco. They are the most gracious hosts. Their home is gorgeous and has everything you need. All of the recommendations were great. The property is close to many towns to visit. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip!"

"If you decide to go to this beautiful resort, you have to walk up to the little town next to it, I did that every night after coming back from Siena and Firenze. There is also another littke town 30 min away Gilda, the best foccacia sandwich I ever had at this unique butcher/snack shop. You definitely need a car during your stay here. Its secluded, grand and close to busy touristy areas at your disposal."

"Wir waren als Familie mit 2 Teenager-Kindern eine gute Woche hier und fanden es super! Das Haus und vorallem der Garten sind traumhaft. Der Pool ist ein paar Schritte entfernt und wird mit anderen geteilt, was völlig okay war. Zum Haus gehört eine Katze, die jeden Morgen an der Terrassentür wartet, um gefüttert zu werden. Wir haben sie sofort ins Herz geschlossen!Die Lage ist perfekt und sehr malerisch in den Hügeln des Chianti. Wir haben Ausflüge nach Florenz (1h), Siena (30min), San Gimignano (40min) und Monterrigioni (20min) gemacht, außerdem eine Raftingtour auf dem Fluß Elsa und eine Weinprobe.Der nächste kleine Supermarkt ist 10min entfernt, ein richtig großer ca. 30min.Die Vermieterin Ardiana war sehr nett und hat immer sofort geantwortet."

"This was a delightful Villa in the in the hills of Castelina. A family villa full of rich history and charm. The rooms were clean and the pool was a highlight to relax around in the warm Tuscan afternoons. Well Situated in the Chianti region with close proximity to many restaurants in Castelina, Castanaza was a lovely host and shared an amazing history over the centuries her family owned the Villa."

"Beautiful property, well appointed with everything you need. The infiniti pool was the highlight with stunning views of Sienna and lagoon like natural feel. The property is well air conditioned for the hot summer. Great location close to Castelina in Chianti, restaurants and shopping. The only consideration is the gravel roadway to the house is best by suitable car, small SUV is best. The host was very responsive and hospitable. We would rent again - amazing experience."
