"We chose this property for its proximity to excellent fishing on Hat Creek / Rising River, as well as numerous outdoor activities in the Burney area. After a day of mountain biking or kayaking, it was a cozy and comfortable place to retire to for the day. Amazing views, convient location, comfortable lodging - this place is a must if you're staying in the area."

"Green Gables was clean and affordable, 45 minutes from Lassen Volcanic Park and 90 minutes from Mt. Shasta. It was a good base for 3 days of exploring. I appreciated the comfy chair and hassock. The front desk folks were kind and helpful!"

"The worst experience Ive ever had with a rental, by far. I would not recommend renting this property, nor any other that is managed by EVOLVE. They have taken advantage of renters and owners across the country, it is well documented. This house was disgusting, we left without staying an hour. I was shocked that they would present a home in this condition to anyone. Drove 4 hours to stay here, then had to find another place to stay, which was over an hour away, because the house was so filthy. Evolve has refused to communicate with me about the situation. Issues include: Dead bugs everywhere, many live bugs also, pubic hair on toilets and in bathtubs, urine stains on toilets, dirty kitchen counters, sticky table, cobwebs, dust, dirt/gravel on stairs and floors, dirty refrigerator, clumps of hair stuck to baseboards, some unknown debris all over the couch. Additionally- The description of the property is very deceiving, it should be revised. The lake is far from the house and not as shown in picture. Between the house and the lake there is a gross swampy area littered with garbage, old broken down boat docks, and a ton of mosquitos. Extremely disappointing situation - Ruined our vacation"

"Hat Creek Retreat is the perfect home. Super clean, everything you could need for your stay plus some. Great location between Burney Falls and Lassen Volcanic NP. Owner communication was excellent. I would definitely recommend staying here. We will return!"

"Great location next to the lake, very secluded, every snowed in or summer vacation by the lake family’s dream vacation. A lot of thought went into making this cabin the perfect stay between the furniture to the beds to the kitchen and deck. For future renters, the lake has shrunk due to the drought but it is still very close and visible, just not at the properties decks, you can launch your kayak close to the property, great fishing spot for fishing enthusiasts. Internet worked great and could work for remote work, cell signal was okay for calls and texting but you wont be using any data, I believe US Cellular is the primary carrier in this area and further up north so if you use Verizon or AT&T your phone might work just not as good as US Cellular."
