"Nestled in the mountains, the hotel is a dreamlike setting offering spectacular views of Lake Lucerne (Vierwaldstätter See). It is situated in a quiet area, fully immersed in nature. Ample parking is available. The breakfast is excellent, featuring gluten-free bread options. The Staff is very friendly and nice. Just a one-minute walk away, you will find the funicular that takes you down to the lake to board boats bound for various lakeside villages—including Rütli, the historic site where the Swiss Confederation was founded. Seelisberg is a 35-minute drive from Lucerne, a very beautiful city that is highly recommended. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are simple, yet clean and comfortable. The hotel's true luxury lies in the surrounding nature—knowing we are in the very heart of the Swiss Alps—and that is priceless."

The apartment was well equipped and YES you have to empty the dishwasher and put crockery back in the cupboards on departure like any normal accommodation you would stay at! "The photos do not do this place justice. The view we had from our room, overlooking the mountains in front of us, the cable car going through the morning and into the night, sitting on the private balcony. The meal we had in the restaurant, again overlooking the stunning vista, great beer and service . You could park down in the garage under the hotel. The roads leading to it, stunning, picturesque. Absolutely loved it."
