We have lived in our townhouse with our 4 children while giving it a fresh cosmetic renovation. So our house is beautifully fresh and new!
Our Elwood Star has two distinct living zones which create an inviting setting for everyday enjoyment as well as entertaining.
It is spread over two levels with a living area, office, balcony, 3 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Downstairs includes the kitchen, dining/ living area, the 4th bedroom and the 2nd bathroom.
The laundry is located in the garage. Guests have exclusive access to the laundry however the garage is not included in the listing.
The living areas have big beautiful bifold doors that completely open out to a delightfully secluded deck and garden; perfect for relaxing in and enjoying a quiet drink and dinner with your family.
PARKING: You can park your car on the street for free, no permits are required. If you’d like to unload or pack up your car you’re welcome to park it in front of the garage in the small driveway. The driveway is rather small and will generally not fit a car without parking over the sidewalk so it’s not recommended to park there for too long.
ADJOINING PROPERTY: Elwood Star is an adjoining property and is located at the back of 109 Tennyson street, Elwood 3184. Elwood Star is located at 109B Tennyson street, Elwood 3184 and can be found on Austin avenue. Please refer to the photo of the front of our house. If ordering take away (Uber Eats) or transport (Taxi or Uber) please use clear descriptions.
HEATING AND COOLING: We have a split system for air con and heating upstairs and another one for downstairs. You will find the downstairs remote on the kitchen counter near the kettle. The upstairs remote can be found above the couch on the window sill.
TV/STREAMING: All of our streaming services are available for you to use. Netflix, Disney, Kayo Sports, Apple TV, and Amazon prime. We also use a google chromecast so you’re able to rent/buy movies on our account. We just ask that you let us know and leave payment for the movies before you leave.
The black remote turns the TV on and you can navigate the streaming services. Upstairs also has a TV with chrome cast attached. You’ll find a black remote that you’re able to navigate all of our streaming services through also.
FRIDGE AND PANTRY ITEMS: We keep a selection of essentials in the pantry and fridge for your convenience. Please feel free to use these items. Our aim is for you to have a super comfortable stay so offering these conveniences is our pleasure. We also keep a small selection of treats (that regularly change) such as; chocolate, wine, soft drink and chips. If you choose to use these items we would ask you to kindly offer a donation so that we can keep paying it forward.
BINS: The bins go out on a Tuesday night for emptying on Wednesday mornings. If you are staying on a Tuesday night, please put them on the nature strip. Please dispose of all rubbish from the property. There are lots of garbage bags in the cupboard for you to dispose of your rubbish.
KITCHEN CLEAN UP: Please make sure all dishes are cleaned and put away. We have provided a dishwasher for your use. A extra cleaning fee will apply if this is not done.
EAT IN THE DINING AREAS: All we ask is to treat our home like your own. We’ve recently renovated so everything is brand new in our home. Professional cleaning charges will apply if any stains are left.
USING THE OVEN AND STOVE:
The cooktop is induction and the oven is fan forced. You will find a safety switch on the wall that shuts the complete system down for when small children are around. You know that the switch is on when the the red light is displayed on the cooktop.
1. Hold the power button to turn the cooktop on.
2. Decide which burner you’d like to use and hold the button that it corresponds to.
3. Select the + sign to make the burner hotter and the - symbol to turn the burner down.
4. Turn the power off when the burners are not in use.
ACCIDENTS HAPPEN: If damages occur, please let me know before check out so that they can be replaced.
COFFEE – We provide coffee and tea; there is however the best coffee in the world in Melbourne. My all time favourite coffee can be found at Kremma; just around the corner on Tennyson street. There are so many coffee shops to choose from on Ormond rd; The Turtle Cafe, Sunflower cafe, Red bluff and Johnny’s to name a few.
LAUNDRY:
You’ll find the laundry behind a fully lockable door that leads into the garage. The garage is used by us (rarely) but you will have full and exclusive access to the laundry.
PETS: We have welcomed pets as we know how lovely it is to be able to bring your pets on holiday. I would assume that if you are bringing your pet it means you trust them to be extremely well behaved. We would love it if your pet can remain outside however this is not always the case. So please bring your pets bedding so that they don’t make themselves comfortable on our couch or beds.
Cleaning up after your pet- All pets mess is to be picked up.
Only leave your pet outside alone if you know that it will not bark, we love our neighbours and we love being able to offer you a pet friendly house and would like it to stay that way.

*If you have requested an earlier check in or a later check out, we’ll do our very best to accommodate these requests where possible. You’ll need to message us the night before your check in just to ensure that we don’t have back-to-back bookings. If we have guests checking in on the same day either side of your booking, we require a turnaround time to clean and prepare the home which makes it difficult for late check out or early check in.
