The slight down side was at 7pm when we arrived we had received no instructions as to how to get get into our accommodation. I had to send an email to Matt who phoned with the details of how to get I'm. We would love to make a returned visit later in the year."

"Seven of us age range 6-75 stayed at Gardners Cottage during New Year week. On arrival welcomed by the warmth of the property in the afternoon of the last day of the year. And welcomed even more by the Christmas tree beautifully lit in the dining room.Other lovely festive decorations( including mistletoe ) were still there in the hallway and lounge.The lounge very comfortable but may have benefitted by another light in the winter afternoon and evenings. "The cottage was cosy, ideal for the 2 of us for 3 nights. Not a huge fan of Saxmundham, but loved Suffolk. Visited Orford, Rendlesham Forest, Aldeburgh - beautiful places."

"Fantastic staff. Great room with decor. Very comfortable bed. Only let down by a very dirty, previously used toilet brush. Didn't get to try their food from their main menu as my partner was being very fussy and wanted pie and mash or sausages and mash and it wasn't an option on menu, but the breakfast was delicious."
