"We checked in Thursday morning and had a lovely side sea view. Unfortunately, there was confusion over breakfast. We booked through Expedia believing it was included, but were told it wasn't. Expedia blamed the room type, although the hotel manager confirmed this was incorrect. Two other guests also told us they had experienced exactly the same issue with Expedia. If booking through Expedia, double-check what is included. On Friday, we requested fresh towels, water and ice, but despite several calls, these were delayed and the ice was forgotten. Breakfast itself was excellent, with a great selection and very good quality. I would love to see iced matcha available too. The hotel grounds and pool are beautiful, with lovely views. However, the gym is extremely disappointing for such a large hotel. It is tiny, poorly equipped, the weights only go to 10kg, and the mats are ripped and slippery. With six people inside, there wasn't enough space to exercise comfortably. At around 9:45pm, room service was brought to our room despite us not ordering it, so room numbers should be checked before disturbing guests late at night. A big positive was the manager, who went out of his way to locate my daughter's Lululemon jumper and my missing clothes. His help was excellent and much appreciated. Overall, beautiful hotel and grounds, excellent breakfast and wonderful views, but there are clear areas for improvement, particularly the Expedia breakfast issue."

"Maison située dans un grand terrain avec une grande partie en verger. Petit plus oranges et figues à volonté. Petit bémol il y a un vis à vis sur un immeuble d'habitation.La maison est grande et à 7 personnes nous y étions à l'aise. Côté équipement il manque de la vaisselle pour une capacité de 12 personnes (5 bols, aucune casserole, faitout uniquement, verres en quantité insuffisante..).L'intimité n'est pas absolument respectée car nous avons eu du passage tous les jours et pas que pour l'entretien de la maison.Neanmoins la propriétaires est charmante et réactive.Le séjour a été globalement agréable et à proximité de Porto."

"Der Blick ist ein Traum. Das Außengelände inkl. Pool ist super angelegt. Die Lage ist klasse. Es lohnt sich die Gegend zu erkunden, wenn man gerne in der Natur ist. Nach Porto und zu schönen Stränden am Meer dauert es ca. eine Stunde mit dem Auto. Auch Fluss-Strände sind nur ein paar Kilometer entfernt. Ein kleiner Supermarkt befindet sich in der Nähe. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war perfekt!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Mario’s house. The house was very clean and well-equipped with lovely bedrooms and spacious living areas. There was so much to do - swimming pool, tennis court, pool table and beautifully landscaped areas to sit out in and relax. The location is a small village in close proximity to Porto and lots of wonderful towns like Braga. The view from the house is outstanding and we could happily have never left the house although we did venture out and spent a few days sightseeing. Thanks Mario for letting us rent you amazing property for one of our best family holidays yet! I would recommend this house wholeheartedly."

Beatriz was an absolute angel, from making reservations at recommended restaurants, to organising taxis, she often checked in on us to see if we needed anything.
