Vintage Haven near Medical District

This Pinterest-cute charmer is a Craftsman-style bungalow in the historic Central Gardens neighborhood. Built in 1915, it features many of the original architectural details, including hardwood floors and 10 ceilings. And the owner has filled it with a quirky selection of vintage finds from every decade since then. If you love retro, this is the place for you!

The house sits on a quiet dead-end street and has very little traffic or noise. But it's close to everything, including several major hospitals like St. Jude, Le Bonheur, The Med, and Methodist University, as well as UT Health Science Center and Southern College of Optometry.

This is a pretty big not-so-big house. The bedrooms are roomy, and so are the closets, especially for a historic Midtown home. As for hanging out, you have your choice between the large back deck or the shady front porch. The house features an eat-in kitchen with plenty of gadgets and pans if baking is something you enjoy. Theres a separate laundry room on the ground floor with full-size washer and dryer.
