"Perfect stop after traveling from Nusa Penida back to the mainland. The hotel is a little dated and needs some renovations but the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everyone on the staff were wonderful; a special shout out to Ega and Ariani. They are sweethearts but again, everyone on the staff were wonderful. We loved the food, as well."

"Room was very clean and modern. Staff was very friendly. It was a beautiful villa and very peaceful. Wish I couldve stayed longer. Only issue was the road that leads to it is very bad and my drivers had a hard time reaching it. "

"This was an exceptional stay from the moment we arrived.
For Ubud, this is really a special hotel. It is quiet, tranquil. With delicious vegan food and great facilities to swim, relax and have the amazing time. The hotel has 3 saunas, 2 pools, 2 cold plunge pools…
The staff was very attentive and offered us welcoming and caring service throughout our stay. "

"Having stayed here 8 years ago and thoroughly lived it, I was a bit apprehensive going back.
I needn't have worried...just as beautiful as before.
The rooms, the pool, the staff, the views...stunning.
Yes, its a little tired in places but that adds to the charm.
The service from every member of staff was top notch, they couldnt do enough for us...there was 9 of us over 5 villas...
Thank you to Payogan for making this stay special"

"Conveniently located on a street parallel to the main drag with restaurants and shops but a third of the traffic. There’s scooter hire and trip agents as well as a convenience store within a minutes walk.great staff and food. Breakfast has eggs cooked to your liking with bacon, sausage, various Indonesian options as well as fresh melon, toast, pastries, cereals, fresh milk and juices so great options. Room has good WiFi ok TV with some English channels, 2 pools available. Only downside is lots of steps as built on land that was terraced rice paddies and awkward access for taxis/drivers.
The free afternoon tea was great as was the one meal we ate on site (we loved Warung Ning if you want a truly authentic Balinese meal)"
"Fabulous property! All of the Staff were SO friendly and service oriented. We loved our pool suite as it was private and spacious. The property is lush with greenery, flowers, a gorgeous Koi pond and waterfalls along the way to our room.
The Deeva restaurant served a excellent breakfast with a wide variety of fresh and delicious food to choose from. They have different themed evenings so we got all our meals there. We even took a fun Balinese cooking class.
I enjoyed a wonderful 90 minute hot-stone massage that was one of the best I have ever experienced.
The Udaya Resort and Spa rates 5 stars with me. "
"We had a wonderful 7-day stay at Alaya! The staff was amazing- always ready to help make our stay comfortable. Housekeeping was done twice a day. Breakfast was excellent and included both a buffet and a menu to order from. They customized many options for us to vegetarian versions. The hotel also arranged day trips for us with a personal driver for sightseeing. Yoga Barn was nextdoor so it was an easy walk back after an evening class. There were many restaurants for dinner options within walking distance. I would highly recommend Alaya to anyone visiting Ubud."
"This 48 room hotel is amazing and a hidden gem in Ubud. Close to everything and on a quiet street, the staff is so helpful and they offer a unique experience. Many included programs to learn and experience Balinese culture. A pristine infinity pool I could swim laps in as others also enjoyed the pool. Plus breakfast, included and top notch. Fresh everything, so many choices and the most amazing surroundings to enjoy the food peacefully. "
"Hello,
We just got back from a 10-day Bali vacation, and staying here was truly an unforgettable experience.
From the smooth check-in process to the welcome drink and the friendly breakfast staff, everything was exceptional. There’s honestly so much to say about this place.
We chose a two-queen-bed room for our girls’ trip, and it was perfect. The room was clean, spacious, and came with a fully stocked mini fridge, along with a fresh welcome coconut. The air conditioning worked great, and we loved having the option to open the balcony doors to enjoy the breeze.
The food was absolutely amazing, especially the complimentary breakfast, which offered a wide variety of delicious options.
We also treated ourselves to a spa day. My friend had a rose bath, which she loved it was beautifully decorated with rose petals in a warm bath. I had a deep tissue massage, and it was incredible.
The hotel is about 20 minutes from town, making it feel very safe, peaceful, and tucked away from traffic and noise.
We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be coming back. Since we spent a lot of time exploring, next time we plan to stay in and enjoy more of the resort—especially the three pools and activities.
If you’re planning a solo, couples, or family trip, I highly recommend this place.
