The hotel needs some repair and renovation, but it’s charming and very convenient to everything. Parking was easy. Mendocino is a pretty, peaceful, fun little town. "What a great place. The owners were friendly and greeted us with chocolate chip cookies. The room was super clean and the grounds well taken care of. You can tell the owners take pride in their property. There was a bar/grill next door with a gorgeous view of the ocean, a convenience store next to that and I'll will stay with them next time we go thru San Simeon. "When we first arrived 27 minutes earlier the lady said the room was not ready so we went back to the car for 3:00 pm check in. I think she knew I was a bit irritated that we couldn’t check in early and she came out to the parking lot to get us.. when I opened the door I chuckled as the room was super small. We enjoyed every moment: breakfast delivered in a basket, walking to the beach through the trail, feeding the chicken in the morning, saying hi to Lamas while sipping warm tea and delicious dinner at Terra Kitchen.
