"This room was clean and newly renovated. Granite counter in bathroom and bigger than average motel fridge with separate freezer. 👏 This was a HUGE help to freeze our ice packs for our ice chest and the long drive the next day. The beds were softer than I am used to, but comfy enough. The a/c worked great! There was a microwave & a coffee maker - both very clean. I would definitely stay again if I am in town."

"The hall carpet was filthy and smelt like a zoo. If I was not so tired I should have asked for a different room in a different part of the hotel. Big mistake on my part."

"Hotel was quiet and provided what we needed for a night’s rest on our trip down to NC. Front desk host, Debra was very nice and accommodating. However, the 3rd floor rooms have a heavy chemical smell with smoke undertones…Perhaps an attempt to cover up the smell from people smoking in the rooms even though it’s not allowed. We tried two rooms and found the smell to be the same. We did not partake of the breakfast as it was mostly carbs. I did grab a banana for the road though!"

"The staff was very nice and helpful. They did explain to us that the hotel is going to be renovated soon, which it desperately needs. Our bathroom wasn’t in good shape at all. They had no extra pillows and no extra blankets. The morning breakfast was nothing to write about. Maybe once they get it renovated it would be worth trying again just because of the staff."

"Most wonderful and friendly staff but u had so many glitches with housekeeping that dampens my spirit about the place. I ask for extra towels (tip of $7)- and ask the GM in the hallway and hear her even walkie talkie about it & no towels. Next day no service and the next day they left me without ANY toilet tissue. That’s too many misses. "

"I made my reservation online and provided a credit card to hold the room, but when I checked in, I clearly told the front desk associate that I wanted to pay in cash at checkout. She was very kind and assured me she would note it in my reservation and that paying cash in the morning would not be an issue. Unfortunately, my experience the next morning was completely different. The front desk clerk on duty was immediately rude and dismissive. When I explained that I wanted to pay in cash, she told me that the payment had already been processed overnight and that there was nothing she could do. I calmly explained the conversation I had the night before, but she refused to help and would not even contact a manager, stating it was Saturday and she wouldn’t call anyone. I remained respectful throughout the interaction and stepped outside to contact corporate and file a formal complaint. Before leaving, I decided to give it one more try. When I went back inside, there was a manager present. She was professional and helpful, processed a refund to my credit card, and allowed me to pay in cash as originally requested. However, the initial employee continued to be unprofessional and even told me I should have handled it the night before—which I had attempted to do—and then went as far as telling me not to return or stay at this hotel again.
