"We stayed for one night while in town visiting some friends. Our room was clean and comfortable. Check-in was quick and professional. A surprise bonus to our check-in was receiving a text from the hotel after getting in our room to make sure everything was okay. I was a little surprised to be charged $5 for parking in a lot that appeared to be owned by the property. I was told by the front desk clerk that this was a corporate decision and one that would eventually spread to other Hilton owned properties. This is good to know. If I were to make a suggestion to this particular Hampton, it would be to have more than 4 full-sized pillows on a king-sized bed. The four on our bed left much to be desired but we made them work for our needs."

"The property is cozy and charming and looks as pictured. There were coffee and filters available (another review mentions no filters) along with creamer and basic spices in the kitchen. We enjoyed our time visiting Edenton - about 20 minutes away - and relaxing in the cabin. A couple of things that would have improved the visit: we were not 100% sure which dock to use (there are 3 near the property) until the last day/morning when we found a map in a notebook that was stored under the TV. We did not check with the host as we spent most of our one full day in Edenton. The cabin also seemed a bit worn: There were several spiderwebs in the cabin (on light fixtures and blinds), the floor mats were fraying, and the linens, towels and couch felt a little damp to the touch as if there was excess humidity in the cabin."
