The hotel sits very close to the beautiful Paseo Montejo and we were able to walk to all the beautiful museums, plazas and churches. The breakfast provided delicious options and the staff was very friendly. If I could get back to Merida I would select this hotel again.

The place is very clean and nice, however they have the worse service ever, which made the experience a really bad one. They gave us a two beds room when we paid for a King and to give us the right one they took over an hour and we lost our dinner reservations and a wedding rehearsal dinner. Once we were in the right room some people were trying to come into our room and turns out they were given THE SAME ROOM! Just a terrible experience. And then we were trying to rest and housekeeping where super loud slamming the doors and all their cleaning supplies since 7:00 am. Just terrible.

The staff were very nice and welcoming. Our bathroom sink faucet leaked causing water to puddle on the floor. Late night noise from activities being held at nearby facilities and the Mercado plaza were annoying.

Good hotel but not amazing

Overall is an average hotel. I was expecting a little bit more but did not get that extra special feeling. The first day the elevator didn’t work so we took the emergency stairs. It was disgusting, they have not cleaned that area in years. Food was good but a bit pricey.

Overall the property is not well kept. There’s a general sense of poor maintenance and lack of cleanliness. There’s a shopping center on the ground floor that held a loud music concert on a Thursday until 11pm making it impossible to relax in my 4th floor room facing the shopping center courtyard. The staff did accommodate me the next day and changed me to a street facing room that reduced the noise coming from the shopping center’s music stage.

First time visiting the Yucatan

The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Despite my non-existent Spanish language, the patience, kindness and warm interactions for support and assistance from the reception, to the restaurant and kitchen, my stay was very memorable. My arrival and check-in was seamless. I had booked through hotels.com and didn’t realize that it included the buffet breakfast which included a wide variety of local and traditional American breakfast items. My room was very clean and comfortable with strong air conditioning to counteract my slow adaptation to the hot and humid days of the Yucatan. On my departure, my flight was very early, and the kitchen and reception staff thoughtfully curated a healthy fresh fruit breakfast for me to take away which was such a blessing, given the time restrictions when dashing for your flight back home. Everyone from soup to nuts at the NH Collection Merida Paseo Montejo was absolutely stellar, kind and top notch hospitable. The central location of the hotel was also key to access lots of local eats. Highly recommended!!!

Good afternoon: This email is more for the management; your reception staff was attentive on the night shift; security is very friendly and is aware of everything; however, the ceilings in the room were very deplorable, the television service, iron did not work; the bathroom in the shower was dirty in the showers; towels were missing and therefore I had to ask; they have only one trash can in the bathroom; it does not have a bipedal for the suitcases; in the hallway they have dehumidifiers but they are already full, I saw that when I arrived and left that it was more than 8 hours with the same humidity; the parking lot is safer but they should provide more detailed information so I can leave and not waste time going and coming back; one of the pillows still had hair on it that was not mine, it belonged to a woman because I do not have hair, thank you; ahhh the amenities of the coffee or coffee maker were dirty and dusty; very important, I wanted to go to the pool and I found the surprise that it was empty and out of use; The gym is very well equipped for a very small space. I want to express this because of the location, security and the employees who are doing their job. However, management should be more aware of all these details. I thought about staying another day at the beginning but decided to go to another hotel. I hope they can improve these deficiencies. Bless day.
