Very welcoming hosts and helpful in every way. It was very neat and clean everywhere. Nice breakfast and good parking in a closed area. There are many cars everywhere in Messina and parking on the streets which resulted in narrow roads around the hotel. Located close to the water and we had a view over the strait to the mainland. Highly recommended.

Inside the hotel, the property is clean, spacious and comfortable. The hosts are very attentive. The room was very comfortable. While there is a gated parking lot in the back, the street is on a steep hill, which requires a steep set of concrete stairs to get up and down to walk anywhere, including public transportation. It is very dirty and full of trash, which had obviously been there for weeks or months. Sidewalks are narrow and littered with dog poop in addition to litter. The building across the street is abandoned. We did not feel unsafe however, but it is a bit off-putting.

Difficult to write a review on this one. The manager was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. The issues start with the room that we stayed in not looking anything like the photos in the listing. There are literally no dining options in the neighborhood. The property is extremely convenient to the ferry and really appreciated the parking but other than that it was pretty unimpressive. On the plus side the room was nicely decorated and the bathroom and shower were pretty reasonable. The floor in the sleeping area was very dirty. The room that we were given was right by the front door which makes a bunch of noise each time it's opened and closed.

The hotel is beautiful with a large room and good breakfast facilities, even though the breakfast itself was quite limited. We loved that it had its own parking and it made it easy to leave our car while we walked to different areas.
