Stone farmhouse completely restored with 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, sauna area, billiard room, reception and multimedia room. Wi-Fi, 2 lounges, open fires, large dining room, fully equipped kitchen, freezer, washing machine, dryer.
4 facade house with private garden, close to shops and at the foot of the Belgian Ardennes. You will discover many sports or relaxation activities but also many points of interest. You will also be able to discover next to the gîte a small Aubrac breed farm operated by the owners. Beds are made upon arrival, towels are provided and final cleaning is included in the price.

Idyllic Farmhouse

Our stay at Pierre and Martine's farmhouse was wonderful! The view from the backyard out into the pasture's is breathtaking and the kindness shown to us and our family was delightful. We enjoyed day trips to Brugge, Chimay, Dinant, Namur, and Bastogne. Also, don't miss Maresous Abbey a short ride away.

Perfect in every way!

Stayed here with my family of 10 people total. The house was absolutely beautiful and a perfect quiet respite after several weeks of traveling. The owners were nearby to answer any questions we had, and even left us fresh eggs, jam, and fruit. The amenities were great (loved the full kitchen!) and the town was a short drive away. Overall a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend this house to any groups.

Fabulous short vacation in dreamlike farmhouse

Already for the third time my friends and I were guests in this dreamlike property. The owners are really great and friendly! We were welcomed each time with 2 bottles of wine and warm words. An earlier check-in and later check-out have also been possible each time after consultation. The house is simply a dream. Very well maintained and renovated with love. The bathrooms are very modern and there are enough possibilities to store food and drinks for a whole weekend with 10-14 people. We will be happy to come back!!!

Vacation with a friend group

In general, the accomodation was good. We went with a group of friends (12p) between the age of 18 to 25 years old. A big accomodation with a few smaller rooms and one big room. This meant that you can relax on your own, but also with a big group. Outside was also a good sit: chairs and a lounge to sit in with a lot of sun during the day and evening (and a big umbrella to hide from the sun). In the kitchen were all the essentials you need. It was hard to cook for 12 persons, but doable. There was a dishwasher present, but did not clean very well and broke glassware. We told this to the owners, and they would take care of it and the broken glassware was not a problem. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also good enough. There were enough beds for 12 persons. During the week we stayed, it was >30*C, so it was really hot in the bedrooms. Only one bedroom contained a fly screen. The bathrooms were clean and fresh towels were present. The big shower heads were a plus! For 12 people, it was hard to place everyone under a shower, but again doable. The washing machine and dryer came in handy to clean towels. The gîte was seperate from other houses so we had no problems with neighbours and neigbours did not have any problems with us. We did not have any smell problems with the cows, which we were worried about in front. The surroundings: Qua restaurants and entertainment it was limited. Take-away contained mainly Italian food or fries. If we wanted to do anything, we had to drive to Namen or Dînant (~30 minutes). Not a lot of people spoke English or Dutch, but only French. A tip is to use Google Translate. Owners: Very friendly and lived close to the gîte. Unfortunately, Martine and Pierre did not speak English or Dutch, but with Google Translate we made the best of it.

Wir waren zu zwölft in diesem wirklich schönen Haus und wir haben ein tolles Pfingstwochenende genossen. Der großzügig bemessene Platz, eine urgemütliche Einrichtung mit u.a. Kaminofenzimmer und Billardraum haben allen sehr gut gefallen. In der Küche fanden wir alles was wir benötigt haben. Entspannen und wohlfühlen konnten wir uns in sehr bequemen Betten sowie gemütlich gestalteten Bädern.Ausreichend Platz und Sitzgelegenheiten findet man auch im teilweise überdachten Außenbereich. Die Feuerstelle dort haben wir u.a. zum Grillen genutzt. Und die Vermieter ? Sehr angenehm und nett !An die Tage dort erinnern wir uns sehr gerne.Unser Fazit: Ein empfehlenswertes Ferienhaus.

Uitstap met kinderen en kleinkindjes

Wij verbleven er met de kinderen, kleinkindjes en 3 honden. We waren met 12. Alles was meer dan voldoende aanwezig. Zalig toekomen, opgemaakte bedden en handdoeken genoeg voorradig, onze vakantie kon direct beginnen, er stond zelfs een wijntje koud in de frigo. Bij mooi weer is het heerlijk buiten zitten voor een BBQ met excellent vlees van 'boucherie Bertrand' uit Mettet en bij minder weer een prachtige, ruime plaats om binnen te eten. Mooie wandelingen, railbikes vanuit Falaen naar de abdij van Maredsous, de ruïnes van het kasteel van Montaigle. Wij hadden een leuk weekend en zouden zeker nog eens terugkomen. Super vriendelijke hosts. Vele groeten. Jürgen en Daisy

We hadden een heel gezellig weekendje! Alles was voorhanden en we genoten van de pooltafel en de petanquebaan. Het goede weer kwam ook goed uit om gebruik te maken van de bbq.

Perfekte Gruppenunterkunft mit Hund

Das Haus ist super groß, aber trotzdem gemütlich und der Garten (komplett umzäunt) sehr schön angelegt mit jeder Menge Sitzmöglichkeiten. Die Schlafzimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet mit bequemen Matratzen. Die Lage ist ruhig, was mit Hund über Silvester wirklich perfekt ist. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We verbleven een weekendje met 10 volwassenen en een baby. Voldoende handdoeken en bedlinnen waren beschikbaar. Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst. De omheinde tuin was een extra troef voor onze honden. Zeer leuk verblijf gehad

Très grande fermette avec un magnifique jardin entièrement clôturé et donc idéal avec un chien. Tout y est pour un séjour en groupe, accueil très agréable avec la gérante. Tolles Haus in ruhiger Lage mit einem einmaligen Ausblick. Man ist ungestört und braucht sich keine Sorgen zu machen, dass es man die Nachbarn stören würde. Alles war sehr sauber und die Küche war super ausgestattet.
