"There was leftover Dairy Queen food in the garbage can, no shampoo, the entry light doesn’t work, and there was a lot of dust and trash under the bed."
"The room was very clean, staff was very nice. Parking was pretty easy to find. The pool was out of service. The continental breakfast was great. I would stay here again and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable good hotel. Heads up there is no elevator, but the stairs aren’t bad. And it’s only 2 levels tall."
"Edward was the best host I have ever experienced while traveling. He provided so many extras for us in our cabin & was a wealth of knowledge about the area. Basically anything we needed or thought of, we found it in our cabin, or a quick text with Ed got us the answer! He suggested we visit the Sportsman Inn in Monticello for supper one night and it was a wonderful recommendation. We truly enjoyed it. We also visited France park while we were there, which was just a couple of minutes away and well worth it. We loved the hiking views and the waterfall was fun to see. There was also a fishing lake as well as a swimming lake all in France Park, but we didn't stay that long the day we visited. We spent some time fishing at the cabin and that was wonderful that we could fish right there and not have to leave. It was an amazing spot to just play cards and enjoy the outdoors or read a book by the river in the morning to relax and take in the sounds. Kayaking the river was fun, but Ed made sure I didn't go too far and tire out in my return back against the current! He really was the best host and truly made our stay wonderful. We will absolutely be returning again for a longer stay!"
